Sarah,I was referring to what the client told the o.p.She was asking what others do regarding outcalls, the general consensus seems to be that most ladies ensure the guy is in the room before setting off.
I was not having a go at how other ladies might conduct themselves. It didn't seem that the o.p was questioning the way she works either but rather seeing if other girls don't do these checks as this guy was trying to say that other w.gs don't do these checks anymore.
I was saying rubbish to a guy obviously trying to make the o p think she was doing something other girls don't.
I would say doing security checks of some sort is common sense.
Hope that cleared it up if not feel free to drop me a pm.

This might be a bit off-topic but sometimes when someone wants you to do something there way they'll use the old, 'but-everyone-else-does-it' approach. Other examples could be bareback or services you don't offer, and this can be used both inside and outside the paid sex arena. I've known men say "All my girlfriends loved xxxxxx", or I'm sure a few here will have heard "I only have sex with you" line.

This sort of approach can be an attack on confidence, make a person question are they doing the right thing. It's a mean trick in my book but I think arming yourself by reading the tales of ladies turning up to no-one home, or even worse happening on occasions when they've not made checks, not checked he is where he says he is can really help.

I've had guys want me to drive for 1 hour into the back of beyond, on the back of their mobile phone call. Madness. I won't even set off locally without some sort of proof they are probably where they say they are, in fact I'd say for quite a few different reasons it's just as important locally.

I don't call the room because it's never been an issue... yet, like wife4rent says. And if it did happen it wouldn't be really much worse than a no-show because I don't travel more than five minutes or so to the hotels. But I would never let "everyone else does it" sway me into doing something other than my way of doing things. That's the important point to this whole thread!

Yes that is very important, punters will often try and push your limits and get you to do something that you are uncomfortable with. The bad ones will prey on what they see as new girls who may be inexperienced and not wish to upset the client or in need of the money.

It was never an issue for me either, but 2 weeks I got stood up on an outcall to a hotel when I could have just easily phoned and verified. He did all the right things: phone number, room number, chat on phone...but the 1 thing I IGNORED was the fact that when I asked for his NAME in addition to the room number, he simply gave me his room number and completely ignored the request for his name. I know it was just 1 time, but it's 1 time too many to be made a fool out of.

I would say it can be WORSE than a no-show, because the guy could very well send you to a room with someone else in it...and short of embarrassing and humiliating, it's not productive.

You may not even need to call and be transferred to the room. But I ask for a full name, "just in case I get stopped by the staff" I tell them.

When someone is trying to persuade me to do something "all the other ladies love" I have recently discovered the most direct route in dealing is the best. "WHAT A LOAD OF BOLLOX. DO GIRLS ACTUALLY FALL FOR THAT?" worked wonders recently on a couple of guys trying their luck. I guess they are used to girls trying to be tactful and gently turning them down so they turn up the persuasion tactics. In this instance the first one had been going down the "please please please " route so I just shouted at him. He was getting on my nerves weadling for me to swallow. I said the above comment very loudly and he immediately stopped weadling. The second one was going on about how he is a high class male escort and also a uk porn guy and that he's never been turned down for BB in the past because he gets tested so regularly for the porn so he pissed me off and I said the above rather loudly whilst laughing and he shut the fuck up?immediately, went red, stopped bragging.

They will probably never book again which is a shame as if not for the bullshit they were nice guys. Ahh well, such is life. They were just really really getting on my tits x

I almost always don't bother to ring the hotel if the guy calls from his mobile and sounds ok. This has only once not worked, with there being no reply when I knocked on the door. After 50 minutes of sitting downstairs in the bar I picked up another punter, who still rings me to this day, so the booked gig may not have worked out, but I wouldn't have met a good regular either. Do what works best for you, and trust your gut.

Definitely phone the hotel!

I had a guy the other day phone me (I am based in Reading)
claiming that he would be in Mayfair, (a 5* hotel, that he was surprised I had never heard of lol)
and that he would get a driver to pick me up from my location etc, and he wanted to book me for the whole day.
He barely gave me a chance to even state my checks, so I hung up and thought nothing of it. I just thought he was a TW.
Anyway about 45 minutes later, he phoned me again, asking for an address for me to be picked up.
So then I thought, well now is the time to check him out if he is interested!
I told him I would be phoning the hotel to confirm he had booked and paid etc, and that I would not be leaving home until I knew this.
He gave me the ref number etc, I phoned the hotel and guess what? he had booked the room, but left no credit card details, and had made no attempt to pay for the room. Unsuprisingly!
Needless to say, I text him stating him I wouldn't be meeting him due to these reasons.
He rang me back, the cheek of it, started trying to ask me for my stats, even my name!!! Like the previous conversations hadn't ever happened!!

I definitely wouldn't be slack with your procedures, as soon as you slack you will eventually regret it.
Happened to me a few times, back when I was new. It just isn't worth it!

This can be a big mistake for any girl, anybody can book a hotel room, but they often have till 4pm to cancel, even then, if they have reserved the room using a card with no money on it they have nothing to worry about. The only real way of checking is by calling the hotel and speaking to a guy in his room. But when you arrive, it does not mean he will be in the room to meet you.

Anything can happen, expect the unexpected....

There are the occasional snooty receptionsists ( usually in the grottier Hotels ironically ) that PRETEND to ring through to the Hotel room and tell you there was no response. I speak well, am a Mature Escort and have an plausible reason for ringing my 'colleague', but they are 'onto us' :-\ I have had new Clients waiting by their room phone and then forced to get online and buy me Amazon vouchers or even nip out from their Hotel in the back of beyond to the shop to purchase a phone topup voucher instead.

I relate this to illustrate how important it is to follow a correct booking procedure. Even though it is an effort for all concerned, it is only ever for the first time I meet someone and If they weren't willing to follow this, I wouldn't be wanting to spend 2 or 3 hours rolling around on a Hilton/Raddisson or Travelodge bed with them anyway ;D

I know I could ring the Hotel Manager to complain, but that would only bring unwanted attention to the Client in the end.

Hello.
I'm Susan Punter.
My partner rushed off this morning without taking his mobile.
He's booked into room 1234.
Could you put me through please.

---If the receptionist says their rooms have no phones, say:
Ah ok, that's fine. Has he arrived safely yet?

They'll usually say if he has checked in.
If they refuse {out of customer discretion} to confirm he has arrived,
this is almost as good as they have just confirmed he has a room booked
and the room number you gave them is the correct one.
If there is no Mr Punter booked in their hotel, they will say so.
