What is the perfect handbag for outcalls?
« on: 02 August 2014, 07:09:26 pm »
I have been using my favourite designer bag to go on outcalls but I can already notice a bit of wear and tear and honestly, most men don't even notice these things. In fact, this one guy stepped all over it and failed to understand why I was so annoyed.

I am looking for a big-ish sized leather handbag. Something with a simple design but elegant looking. I was thinking something between the ?100-200 mark.

If any of you have the perfect outcall handbag- do share!

I think you've really answered your own question, tbh? We don't want links posting here, after all and the forum isn't here so people can just talk about or post lists of accessories they've seen and want to buy.

I'd just head down the high street and get something that your outcall kit will all fit in, and that you won't be too upset about if it gets nicked/torn or drenched in silicone lube when a bottle leaks (we have a thread about that somewhere :)).

Surely brands can be mentioned? Or names of particular shops.
It is related to escorting, outcalls specifically so I thought it was appropriate.
I thought other outcall ladies might have found a good one as it's always a dilemma.

I always seem to manage to leave the lube slightly opened and it gets everywhere... A nightmare!

I personally find LV bags impossible to look at and would not wear one for free.
Same goes for a lot of the 'trendy' brands out there.
I prefer very good quality and necessarily leather but hate blatant logos and patterns.
I will post my recommendation once I find the perfect accessible one. I tend to only own very few bags but like to get a lot of use out of them so can't stand flimsy synthetic ones.

PS: got the sarcasm though :p

I get the feeling I don't belong on this thread as I don't do designer anything! and I also find I go through outcall handbags pretty quickly due to wear and tear  ;D

But, never mind, I am going to be out and proud and say I like M&S or Next handbags for outcalls. Both stores do large, smart, leather-look handbags with lots of big zipped up compartments to hide outfits, toys etc in, plus lots of little small pockets inside for condoms, cash etc. In a practical sense they're great, plus not priced too highly so easy to replace.

I like them anyway xx

They can, and that isn't what I meant - we just don't want another thread to descend into Stuff I Like (as the perfume one was beginning to) rather than useful work-related recommendations.

I can't imagine why anybody would want to use an expensive or designer bag for work either, but if you want a good leather one with a few compartments I'd recommend a look in Fossil. I have a medium size leather one and a big tapestry one which are both wearing very well and they're not horrendously expensive :).

My recommendation is to go to TK Maxx. They have a really great selection of bags at good prices.

In all honesty, I take a massive black one that I bought in H and M for ?30.  As you said yourself, men won't notice if it's designer or not.  With something like mine, if a client steps on it or whatever it's no big deal.

The ideal handbag would be Mary Poppins' bag!

I have a big black "sack" as my BF calls it - ?15 from H+M faux leather and it holds everything and seems indestructible. For something prettier in your price range, Michael Kors currently have big ones with lots of pockets - I've just had one bought for me by a client  ;D - but I just use mine for personal use.

Seems like I'm the only person who just takes a backpack with me!

Sometimes even a Shellie suitcase - what can I say, I like to be prepared. Other family members steal my designer bags so I've given up on that generally. Did have a Guess one with lots of 'useful' pockets - drove me insane couldn't remember in which bit I'd put anything. Use big leather M&S bags at the moment, can fit loads in them. I have several to force me to empty out regularly to notice what needs restocking etc.
