That sucks :( I have mental health problems which mean I struggle with work sometimes (and at university as well).

I try and take regular breaks and be careful about not taking on too much work. I find it easy when I have lots of emails to make loads of bookings then realise I just can't manage it, so I try and spread them out a bit.

I don't know if maybe there's some anti-nausea medication you could take before bookings? Or maybe try and travel less for bookings and just do incalls if you're able..

If you're talking about side effects of your medication, they normally won't last more than 2 weeks max.

If they don't go away then either your dosage must be adjusted or a new medication prescribed.

I have a few long term chronic medical conditions.  one affects my heart and the other the muscles of my body as well as my temperature, stomach, brain and eyes.  When I say muscles I mean every muscle such as lungs, womb, intestinal muscles, bowel and bladder.  I don't really take advance bookings anymore as I cannot guarantee what days I can work and I had to stop touring as it took too much out of me
Now I work a couple of days a week and only see a couple of clients a day.  Nowhere near as much money as before but I have had to put my health before work.  I have also had to learn what my body can easily withstand and what is too much.  You never want to get to the point of too much as it can leave you out of work for days or weeks.  It is better to only do what is comfortable for you and stop before you get to a stage that it has any detriment on your health.
with any long term illness you need to learn to pace yourself.  Not just with work but with social activities and sometimes even cleaning the house.  Its finding the right balance and it does take time as well as errors in getting it right.  It has gotten worse recently and now have to wear a rigid back and neck brace so can only work a few hours at a time as need to wear it most of the day.  I cant exactly work in it as it is hard plastic and covers my back and my front so it would not only be too awkward it is not exactly sexy ;D

All I can say is find a pace your body is happy with and stick to it.  Also I am not sure if yours is a disability or not but some are and even if you work you may be entitled to PIP (used to be DLA).  It is not means tested so it doesn't matter how much you earn as there are two components, the mobility side and the care side.  One helps pay for transport or a car if on the higher rate (for those who cant walk) and one pays for help around the home or for small adaptions that may be needed.  Although it does depend on what is wrong and how it restricts you  That's if you can be bothered with the hassle of trying to claim it as I know people that applied a year ago and are still waiting for an assessment as they are that far behind
Truth is far more important than what one wants to hear. With truth there is no us and them or colour or religion there is just fact

I'm not even going to start with what's wrong with me but I take 23 tabs a day just to help my body work ok. Old age - who would have it?

EF, I know it is a nuisance to do, but perhaps making a note of your good times when you're  not so bad (and maybe able to work) and the times when you are worse and what has triggered things (if you know) and maybe unable to work. This might help you to gauge times for work and times for rest.

This may show a pattern and it may not but you can lose nothing by making these notes.  Give it a try.

Last year I had medication changed and the new meds I was put on made me extremely nauseous and dizzy.  I persevered for four months with them before throwing in the towel but because of my age I decided just to discard escorting and carry on with online services and find other avenues to follow to bring in a little extra income.  It's nothing like my escort income was but I don't have the stresses either.  But that was my choice.

Take care of yourself and remember to chill when you need to.

Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

I have a chronic long term medical condition which is really limiting and the flexibility of sex work and not being accountable to a boss is actually the main reason I do the job.

I don't have that much advice rather than to pace yourself and try to avoid triggers. x x

Both myself and my partner have long term medical conditions that we are on medication for. This job works perfectly for us as we enjoy it and we have never been able to hold down a job for more than a few months due to illness. As others have said, side effects of meds wear off after a few weeks, if you can afford it it's probably best to not work or limit your bookings in that time. Avoid triggers and if you are feeling unwell don't push yourself to do more bookings than you can handle!

Take care of yourself. If you want to talk more feel free to give me a PM! X

I live with an enduring mental health problem which means some weeks I just can't work if I am overloaded with sensory issues.

This is why this work is so ideal for me and in addition I get the luxury of not having to answer to a boss or a management system or a team which may be overly competitive bitchy or just plain unhappy!  Also the stresses and strains of going into the workplace daily and coming home each night is so tiring and when I get overtired my mental health plays up without exception.

Long live sex work!

Unfortunately my health also means I will never really have much real surplus cash owing to being unable to take much pressure and working too hard for too long.  I used to be able to work harder when I was younger but these days I just can't so I have to be kind to myself.
