Design Proposal For Social Network Of Escorts And Punters

I am a software developer and I have been thinking lately about how to improve existing advertising sites like AdultWorks. I know, there are already plenty of these threads here, and I read them. Mine differs (hopefully) in that I am not proposing a concrete site (yet), but I would just like to outline what I believe to be a good design for such a site.

• The site should be organised as a non-profit social network, in particular, escorts and punters should never have to pay for using the site.
• Escorts need a login to use the network, but punters don?t.
• In order to leave feedback, punters need to login.
• The basic publicly visible profile of an escort contains her phone number, email-address and/or personal website, pictures, hourly rates, and the country and city she currently operates from. It also contains a properly curated ?enjoys? list. Each entry in the list is either of the form ?enjoys XXX? or of the form ?does not offer XXX?. There are no ?at discretion? entries, these are just not mentioned in the list.
• Escorts and logged in punters can leave each other feedback. For this, either the escort or the punter initiates a feedback request with the date, time, length and price of the session that is going to happen / has happened. The other party accepts the feedback request, and both parties can then leave a score (let?s say: dangerous, bad, ok, good, great) and an optional comment. It is not possible to leave feedback with a date that differs more than one day from the current day. Each initiated feedback request comes with a unique code that the punter can use to identify himself / herself in an email or phone call if the escort wishes so.
• For both escorts and punters a reputation score is computed. This computation is similar to Google?s Page Rank algorithm, the links here are the scored feedbacks between escorts and punters. Fraud detection algorithms make sure that the computed score is reliable. It probably also makes sense that escorts can endorse each other, and these endorsement also become links used for the reputation score computation.
• Punters can also create profiles with pictures and descriptions. They can protect themselves by choosing to share these profiles only with certain escorts, and/or only with escorts that have a high enough reputation score.
• The reputation score of an escort heavily influences how high the escort appears in the search results.
• An escort can choose only to be displayed to certain punters and/or punters with a high enough reputation score.

So, a site that's free to join where having people co-operating will be heavily rewarded..

You can say "fraud detection" all you like, but where's the money going to come from to pay for the time?

Re-read all those threads. Many of them hadn't got to the spending time and money on it stage either and - gosh - they never did.

I can see a few flaws I would like to point out.  Feedback.  there is no point having a system where either the escort or client has to ask the other for permission to leave feedback.  A client who has just beaten and robbed an escort is hardly going to say yes same as an escort who has ripped off a client or given him a really bad session is not going to agree to have feedback left so the system will be completely flawed.
Escorts with a higher amount of reviews will be near the top and that means escorts in big cities who have a large range of clients will be near the top of the advertising whilst escorts in rural areas who don't see as many clients will be right at the end and so not really seen at all. 
An escort either has to say she offers something or she doesn't and cannot have at discretion even though some services like Anal have to be at discretion
Somehow I don't think this will catch on.

Adultwork is free. Free to use and, with a pvt gallery, free to advertise more

At discretion is fairly necessary. If someone really wants a service they can either enquire or go elsewhere, where it's a sure thing

Lots of punters wait a while to give Feedback. I'd rather keep this open, so that they actually leave it when they can be bothered and are on AW, not have them feel pressured or miss the deadline

Sounds like an expensive and complicated infrastructure, when most of us don't put that much faith in feedback. I ignore the people I don't want to see. Simple.

I recommend researching the adult industry before suggesting any improvements.
Its very easy to bring ideas to the table to those that have never gone out into the field and experienced adult work for themselves.
It makes no difference if you have worked in the adult industry back office for so many years.
This applies to all those men and women with great thoughts that sit behind a desk.

Seems like escorts with a high 'reputation' will be right at the top which would make it really difficult for new escorts starting out. It's hard enough as it is!

Also the feedback system you propose with codes etc just sounds confusing. There'd need to be some sort of agreement made BEFORE the booking that would enable both parties to be able to leave feedback, otherwise how would you be able to leave negative feedback for someone? They'd just never accept the feedback request.
