Title: Working on Valentine's Day
Post by: erica on 12 February 2010, 07:14:02 pm
Hello ladies. wondering if anyone with experience can tell me if I'm right in assuming Valentine's day this Sunday will be pretty dead or are there enough guys out there who are not in relationships who want company on a day when everyone is loved up  (or pretending to be!)
Thanks
Erica

Well if Friday is anything to go by it's been the only day this year that my phone hasn't been busy but who know, 'Tomorrow's another day'. Good luck everybody  ;)

ah...I just remembered that. Perhaps Sunday may be a break for me  :)

The only drawback is many of the single men I've come across dont feel entitled to pay for sex. So perhaps they'll just stay home and cum all on themselves, by themselves  :P

Do you do anything special for Valentine's Day?  :)

I was wondering if anybody does or has tried special offers, or gets into the theme maybe change the decor, petals on the bed, offer champagne, something like that. And is it worth it?

Is Valentine's usually a good or bad day for work?

Post by: Sassy Slapper on 27 January 2014, 07:57:32 am
Nope.

I will offer Champagne but rose petals around the bed may feel great at the time but it may make guys who dont have a valentine and wish they did feel a bit empty on leaving, after all, you wouldnt be leaving if it was a real valentine. Thats just my personal feeling though of course. The guys may love it. Im not doing a discount though. If someone wants a dinner date then my eating time is already over 50% discounted as lets face it, sitting, eating and chatting isn't strenuous

It varies, some clients like to make a special booking around that time, others are busy with their 'real' life partners. I play it by ear but it does usually happen to be at a time when I'm not consuming chocolate, or fancy food and I don't drink alcohol any more so traditional methods of 'treating' don't work for me!

Every year I have been escorting I have never had a booking on valentines day :S

I don't do anything for valentines but a client brought me roses.

Years ago at the California massage parlour I'd see girls going home with flowers and presents brought by regulars. Other than the odd guy who brought a rose for whomever he picked from the lineup, I never got that. While I had plenty of clients return to see me multiple times, I never inspired the sorts of regulars who get mushy. And that's how I like it.

I don't tend to notice it much and I've never found it makes any difference - I'll be in London as I'm going away the following Sunday and flying from Gatwick, and I'm expecting it to be pretty much just another day. I did have an enquiry for a dinner date that evening, but it was from a new client and I'd be loath to take it, to be honest - I'd rather just have a good busy day like usual and I don't relish these bookings at the best of times.

I daresay those who tend to work more in the evenings might feel it a bit, but since most of my bookings are daytime it doesn't make much odds to me :).

It's just another day to me.  I've never done anyting special for it, and I've never noticed any difference in bookings, although I did have one guy last year come and see me before he went on to dinner with his missus.

For those of you who don't have boyfriend commitments / don't celebrate like me & my boyfriend i was just wondering if you girls do anything special for the day. God forbid i've stumbled across agent provocateur (knowing fair well i can't afford it!) I've spent ?35 on stockings and half heartedley justified it by saying heyho i can save it for valentines day. I just wondered how long luxury hold ups will last in all fairness and oooohh they're maroon topped *Swoon*

But i was wondering in bringing in perhaps some wine or should i not bother?

I've merged this, since we've just had a very similar thread :).

I don't drink alcohol or serve it to clients,  but if you're working in the evening some mioght like it, assuming your base isn't somewhere most people have to drive to. I'd save the expensive hosiery for your partner to be honest - you can guarantee the first punter will rip it on his watch strap or belt buckle or something and it's best kept for personal IMO. You can get proper ff nylons far cheaper than AP, anyway.

Same here, nor would I create anything special for the guys. I do not usually work Valentines day but will be doing so this year, I am not expecting much in the way of clients but I am sure there will still be some randy guys about looking for a quick thrill.

I will finish early and go home to spend the evening with my OH who will be cooking and pampering me.

For girls that offer a more intimate and sensual escort service, where the client is looking for more than sex, I can see that you may want to create a more relaxed romantic mood and maybe share a drink.

I decided to not work today with it being valentines day and the weather is terrible but I left my phone on just in case and not a single call? Plus I got a date for later on  :-*
I wasn't around last year so I cant compare but is it ever worth working on valentines day?

Thanks for merging the threads..I see its normal for it to be deadly quiet.

My phone rang as normal. Had the usual number of bookings before going home a bit early. None of them mentioned Valentines Day. It was just a normal day!

I didn't work for obvious reasons but it didn't stop all my phones ringing non stop all day.
I have checked my books and last year was very busy on Valentines day.  I think single or widowed guys like to have a bit of fun too and it helps to stop them feeling alone.

I was going to work, hotel was booked and advertised but my OH talked me out of it, so I am letting him spoil me with champagne, lobster and he is cooking a special steak meal for me. (bet I end up doing the washing up / cleaning in the morning)

Last year I worked in Oldbury, Birmingham it was mega busy and we had a meal in the pub next door, not very romantic...

Just to add to this incase this gets brought up again. It was..... dead on valentines. I guess it just goes to show how many men are actually in relationships huh O.o I guess it doesn't help that it is in February. Tesco certainly wasn't dead though haha couldn't get my shopping done so yes one for the couples not the escorts that day i'd say.

I keep hearing people speak of how quiet this time of year is. This is my second year but the way its worked out its my 3rd Christmas and I am just as busy as always at this time of year, not as busy as Christmas as Christmas is madness but straight after Christmas it went back to normal. I am happy with my 2 or 3 clients a day in my base city. Only time I am ever quiet is the summer time when the kids are off school so I use that time to go on holiday myself and have more surgery  :D

Hi girls,
After a really crap month (January) of spending most of it ill crossed with it being dead when I was well, my savings have taken a bashing and I officially feel skint and fed up. I'm very limited with incalls at the moment but have a flat I can let for ?100 for a Saturday and Sunday. I literally can't even afford to lose ?100 so my question is, what's everyone's experiences with Valentine's day? Has it been busy or dead for you? I've never worked valentine's day so don't really know what to expect. Although with it falling on a weekend i'm thinking men may be away on weekend breaks with the wife/gf. If anyone could shed any light that'd be great.  Tia :) x

Reading back the thread it can be hit or miss? I'm sure there will be someone wanting to stoke the fire though.  Just depends what you are giving up for it.  It's only another day in the year to many.

I wouldn't be giving up a right lot to be honest cause it's not like I have a bf to share valentine's day with, I just worry about losing out money wise :/

Just checked last year's fuckofax (my work filofax) for Feb 14th 2014, I had 3 regs (one of which was 5 hours another was 2 hours.) And two hour long bookings on valentines. So I'm hoping for the same this year, I'm stupidly on tour, away from my lovely regulars. Hope it should be a good one for us all after this January of muppets and silent phones! Don't lose hope the cuddly wuddly moon eyed punters should be out again in force!

I'm already pretty much fully booked for V Day with regs as I tend to attract the lonely older gentleman with no one else to celebrate the day with or randy middle-aged guys who want to shag someone other than their missus as a special treat to themselves on Valentine's.

They had better not cancel...

Had some success for this valentine's day offering a special deal so it's got me a few bookings and later on I'll be going to be with my favourite regular we're ordering food and watching a movie. Suddenly found my valentine's day free since the boyfriend is away on a trip and I kinda think we won't be together much longer anyway all a bit on the rocks.

How did it all go for everyone?

Got a couple of cards, suspect friends sent them.

Got a lot of enquires before hand, for the 30 minute enquiries I told them to contact me on the day. For longer booking I asked for a deposit, but as soon as I did that they were not interested anymore.

Ended up being as dead as every Sunday.

Edit: yesterday was Tuesday, getting my days mixed up now  :(

Valentines days are like any other for me workwise. I am available and that's it.  It can be busy or dead just like other "special" days. Not my style to do sloppy stuff and try to entice them to me.

I had a pre-booked morning booking for 1.5 hrs with a long time reg who is single but if what I saw last night in the supermarket is anything to go by (queues of men buying obligatory roses and clutching red envelopes ) then there will be some punters who may just have a pang of guilt and spend the time with their beloveds rather than book a prossie.  ;)

If I needed or wanted several a day I would be in a better position to see if it is quiet but I had my quota for the day so work phone is off now.

I had no emails and one last minute cancellation, who had arranged 2 hours before by phone. I was very miffed and let him know it! otherwise nothing all day except for the odd reg wishing me a happy valentines!

It is also half term here in East Sussex, which always affects business!

I went out for a drink in the end with a friend.
