Amy is totally right about Oyster cards. The freedom London gives you without a car is awesome- it's why I had such a great time as a teenager going out on school nights  ;D hehe

((But if you do feel you need a driver at the beginning, I'm more than happy to help, I only charge for petrol and congestion charge, or just to give you a tour round town!. PM me.))
London is an amazing city and apart from work it is fantastic for 'play'. People are quite welcoming as it's very multicultural here.

I can help about the location of lifts thing where Emily jones left off (never EVER agree to a booking at the Ritz. They insist on passports, and a questionnaire. Soon it will be internal examinations and driving licenses operating the lifts hehehe) anyhow just PM me. I'm based in Fulham/Chelsea which is a nice relaxing area, villagey feel but quite expensive. A lot of girls like to work from Earls Court/Paddington as the transport links are pretty good.

Amy is totally right, business accounts suck.

Although I do have a 'premier' account, it's only to avoid the funny looks from cashiers when I deposit wads of cash. I have a lady to myself who does it  everytime. I gave her some shitty excuse. It also makes financial sense as it gives me free this and that and most importantly some good insurance.

From what I remember Amy saying before, she simply deposits everything in her account, and pays for every expense by card so bank statements bascially help you fill in your tax return. This has really helped me so thank you Amy  ;D :D
From following Amy's advice, I realised I didn't even really need an accountant, apart from the fact that I am v young and need them to help certify me to get a mortgage. If you do most of the accounting yourself, you only have to pay them an hourly fee for say an hour or something every now and then, just so they can double check things.

Good Luck xxx

Ps business plans are super easy and can be a useful motivator (sometimes)- most templates are available on the net along with advice.

PHEW!! Glad it's not just me.

I live at home and do this. Basically I pretended that I had a boyfriend so was 'staying over at his' (get a male friend to come round and act coupley).
I also say I do Ann Summers hen parties (explains the dressing up, and possibly accessories in room) which can stay until quite late. Maybe just say you do travelling beauty treatments to stressed-out women.
Or say you are a covering night time receptionist at a hotel. I also used to do club promoting, where you get paid for every person on your guestlist, you go collect the money at the end of the night and check everyone had a good time- that one works pretty well.

I really hope that helps. Make sure you research your 'field of expertise' so you can answer with confidence if your parents ask. Also say a friend bought you a scratchcard for your birthday which had a grand on it and buy your parents a present as 'celebration', and pretend that they have to keep it a secret etc.

I also say I have late night chocolate cravings and have to go to 24 hour tescos/take the dog for a walk. Whatever you can get away with.

If you need more detailed advice and cover ups, just PM me. If you live in London, I can come round and pretend to be your new best friend hehe.

Goodness this is so shocking, as everyone else has said.

Like Harlow it's made me want to cry, puppy dachsund is sleeping on my lap, and if anyone tried to touch her I would probably go psycho and damage them and their chances of procreation with my ju-ditsu skills hehe.

Have you thought about making a reward poster for information leading to the prosecution of whoever did that? One of their friends will have a grudge/want the cash/feel guilty and own up. I'll get started on Photoshop...
Is there any DNA evidence? Did they find the weapon?

I'm happy to offer £200 towards rewards money if it'll help (haven't done many good deeds this month- it was part of my NY resolutions), which I guess you could stick on the poster. I also know some (rich  ;D ;D)  horsey people who I'm sure would love to help. Just PM me.

Massive hugs, just remember Karma/God/whatever you believe in will ALWAYS catch up with these disgraceful human beings in the end. You concentrate on building up your relationship with the horse I guess. Give him a big hug from me

Whitening toothpaste mixed with something abrasive gets rid of fake tan stains. Then wipe some nail polish remover over the top! I do this on the palms of my hand

If you do gardening/polishing dirty silverware/general mucky tasks and have long nails, scratch some soap into them so the dirt doesn't get under your fingernails.

I'm sure most of you know beppy's can be a massive rip off, and natural sea sponges can be rubbish. John Lewis does a natural cellulose sponge which works for me for 4 hours, and doesn't smell at all.

Lucy is totally right about Bicarb soda in the fridge, awesome if you have a garlic addiction :)

To accelerate whitening kits' effectiveness, go have a sunbed, the UV catalyses the whitening reaction, cover up everywhere else if necessary.

My number one tip: Label all of your plugs! I spent years mixing up straighteners with hairdryer with fan with mobile charger. Now they're all labelled with paper and sticky tape over. Will save you soooo much time!

Blather and Babble / Group Hug
« on: July 17, 2010, 04:09:28 AM »
I know this is a bit wet and hippyish, but from my short time as an active poster here on SAAFE I have noticed recently things have got a little bitchy.

I don't know if it is because we all spend so much time talking to each other that all our PMS is synched right now, or just that we are all misconstrue-ing (is that a word?!) what each other say recently.

But just wanted to give y'all a big group hug, it's an amazing intelligent community we have here including some awesome moderators  ;D. I had a neighbour who was a working just 20 years ago, she lived downstairs and sometimes used to babysit me as a child. I remember hearing her cry (presumably) because she felt so lonely- no internet, no mobiles, no blackberries. She also didn't have a place to vent, and to warn others about her abusive clients (Mum told me all this now I've grown up). She got raped by a well known abuser of working girls, and died of Syphilis just a few years ago.

End of sob story, I just wanted you to take the time to think of this lady and think how lucky we are that we have access to  support, PEP (emergency anti aids and std stuff), and have a place to vent, express ourselves and make real-life friends, where we can be as anonymous as we like.... I <3 SAAFE! I recommend it to all my girls at the Agency too.

BIG HUG and thank you all for your wit, humour and great advice.  :-* :-* :-* :-*

cassie

In answer to your question, I think I mentioned in the motivation thread that I am here to find out more about how this all works as at times I have been tempted to use an escort service, but have been put off by the idea that it is high risk in terms of contracting a STD and also that women are coerced or drug users. Afterall, why would I go to see an escort for some affection if she feels she is being raped or hates me?

If you want to find out more about using prostitutes you would be better off on a punters forum. Sorry, but it's true.

Prostitutes are normal women who have lots of sex - the handing over of money does not somehow turn us into Typhoid Mary. I had almost as much sex before I was a prostitute - I just wasn't paid for it and was far less responsible, yet you are telling me you think I was less of a risk then? Surely you can see how preposterous this blinkered stereotyping is?

If for whatever reason she hates you (and banging on about her being diseased will not stand you in good stead), you will never know about it; she will just not see you again and if you do not intend going back this surely cancels itself.

I can't even be bothered to answer the trafficking/druggie stuff again - believe what you want. You will anyway. As I said before - if I was spending my hard-earned on drugs and alcohol, what the f*ck has it got to do with you?

Do ANY of us sound like victims? No, thought not.

AMEN
