How timely is this.
I received an email over the weekend with what's now becoming my new favourite line I'm loving to hate, "what's your best price?" In this case it was for an overnight.
First of all I wrote back and said my prices are as stated on my website. He wrote back and asked if I would reconsider.
I had a think about it and I came up with what I thought was a decent compromise: He could have a fee-reduced overnight, but shorter on time. I.e. if he wants it for less money, I'll be happy to do it, for less hours. Still stay overnight, but leave much earlier in the morning than I would otherwise do; don't stay for breakfast, etc. I asked him to write back to let me know if he was happy with that.
Obviously not because I haven't heard from since. Which leads me to think that he still wants the same full service, but at a reduced price. He doesn't want much, does he?
