WTF Has everyone put their prices down?

Last year I was working for an agency, the standard charge of everyone then was roughly £70 - 80 per half hour and £140 hourly. I`ve just done a quick search on AW and discovered loads of girls in my area are charging roughly £10 - 20 lower than this! Some 2 hour incalls are as little as £220 or less, I dont mind giving a little discount but surely thats underselling yourself. If I were doing a two hour booking I`d want at least £250 for a basic GFE ( thats a £30 discount, in my eyes, if I were usually charging £70 per half hour ).

Also I`ve noticed an increase in women selling extras such as watersports and Anal for only £10, or for free. Im baffled!!!!

Why have the prices been driven down? Are men not paying as much anymore?

I dont get it, Im selling my body here. I pay my hairdresser £110 to cut and streak my hair, and dosent have to worry about weirdos, sore bits,STD`s or getting outed.

Assumedly the markets simply become oversaturated with escorts and clients are becoming thinner on the ground?  There are also a lot of foreign escorts who will have different expectations in terms of acceptable remuneration for the risks associated with doing it which is bound to have an effect.

You can't really compare agency prices to indie prices imo. Did you check AW least year when working for the agency?

Agencies tend to charge the 'standard' amount for an area. But it usually isn't, it's usually the high end of the local market. If you averaged the girls working indie the 'standard' rate will most likely be much lower, and I'm sure last year that would have been the same.

The difference now is that (as other posters have said) the market has become more saturated with prossies. Some of which base their prices on competition or what they feel comfortable with. There are also the hundreds of fake profiles to look out for.

Of course all of this means the clients can punt for less and some of the average-higher end girls aren't doing so well because the client may think 'why should I pay xx when I can get xx'.

At the end of the day though your prices need to be a reflection of what you are comfortable with, how you are marketing yourself, and whether it's realistic or not. I would say if you want to charge a higher rate it is perfectly viable to do so, but you'll need to up your advertising- get yourself a good website, pro style pics etc and advertise directly towards the higher end of the market. There is still money to be made, you just have to work a little harder to get it.

The exact rate that you end up charging will probably come down to trial and error though.  :-\

I think the area of the country you are in too reflects prices charged.

I was down in Bristol last year and there are students down there paying off their debts by whoring and they are charging as little as £30-£40 for 30 mins with an hour coming in at around £70, so that puts everyone elses prices way out of range.

Lets face it, many guys dont care where they park their poker when they are feeling horny and some will go to these cheaper girls. 

I'm in no way saying reduce prices but everyone must be aware that the higher your prices the less work you will PROBABLY get.  I'm not saying thats a definite .............. there are some guys who like to see their 'special' whore, but for every one of them there are many that don't bother.
