I received a call wanting an overnight booking in the Chesterfield area from a lovely Gentleman saying he is called Geoff / Jeff - Alarms bell began to ring this is a typical Mr Ward call - the hotel he was suggesting we meet at was Sandpiper Hotel, Sheffield Road, Chesterfield, S41 9EH. 

Been immediately on guard I asked for a deposit and was told it was not ethical or justified. He said he does not feel comfortable depositing funds into someones bank account he has does not know.  He is going by the name Geoff Ritchie or Jeff Ritchie (I asked for his last name) his number os 078566101**.

Be careful ladies this guy is very clever at what he does. I clearly am not going to meet him but feel like setting him up he has ripped off so many girls over the years.  Off to calm down and deal with it now...

He tried to book me for 3 nights and offered me ?6000. I was supposed to go this Saturday but my phone stopped working and I didn't go as I was working any way.

When he mentioned Derbyshire and Chesterfield I knew there was something on saafe involving those areas. When I told him I want his name and address he became very irate, but he did send them. The address is the same address as in the previous posts; clays cross.

Believe it or not if It wasn't for the phone breaking down I really would have went! Thank God for saafe 🤗

Even though he's using a different number (same one as the previous poster) He said his name is Ivan, when I said I don't do overnight bookings he acted all surprised, was over familiar and making out I was being unreasonable by refusing, so I said I would think about it and once again I humoured him by asking what he had planned for us to do all night it was the same, 'chatting, drinking, having good fun, laugh etc etc'. He kept saying how he is reliable, kind, trustworthy etc and how he's read all my profile and can tell that we will get on because I'm a lovely woman blah blah blah (I'm sure his tune would have changed the minute I said I want a large deposit/payment in advance) haha! I also asked what he does for a living and he asked me why I wanted to know, I said I just wondered, apparently he's an architect now.  He said he was staying at a hotel at junction 30.

Hello everyone, this is a hello and a first post in one, sorry it's in this way but to be honest we don't look for support sites until something goes wrong, but now I have found it I will be back for a proper look later.

I was royally scammed last night, I stayed with a client in Skegness he sounded to good to be true and was, I should have listened to the little voices inside me 
He rings and texts you offering far to much money and so I was on alert but thought it was ok after we met up and he gave me the money for an overnight.
I spent the evening looked in my bag the envelope was still there this morning but when I went down to breakfast he had run out jumped in his car and gone.
So I checked my bag the envelope was there but he had switched it at some point and it was an empty one.
The guy said he was a lawyer came acroos as very nice ordunary bloke, calls himself Mr Ward, he didn't become agressive but it has upset me very much, if he calls any of you beware & I would be very grateful of a tip off of his whereabouts if anyone knows anything  he uses the no. 0*7841016"9

I don't know what else to do I am very very upset, if I go to the police they will do nothing and it will cause me real problems not him bastard

Was he arabic or asian looking? The same thing happened to me with a guy who switched my envelope to one filled with cut up newspaper. I was so disappointed when I got home an opened it. Just wondering if it's the same guy...

I don't know much about the law but perhaps if enough people testified against him he'd be able to get done for fraud.
