Yes, sorry if it was confusing.

If you earn, for example, ?50,000 a year then:

The first ?10,000 is not taxed at all.

?32,000 is taxed at 20%

anything above that is taxed at a higher rate.

When I was saving for my deposit, I had a direct debit s every month my savings went into that account without my manually putting it it. Forced me to live on my budget.

you could earn that but do you really want to be seeing like ten men a day 7 days a week...

when i first started in 2009 i made alot, i got addicted but i was getting so ill working all hours and seeing randoms, you have to be such a strong person. as sammy explained you're tax bill will me massive... just bare that in mind x

10 guys a day, 7 days a week to make 4 grand? I work 5 days a week seeing 2 or 3 clients a day for the hour at ?130 which equals to a lot more than 4 grand a month. So if I see 2 clients a day 5 days a week that makes me just over 5 grand.

To the OP as long as your motivated and make yourself available for the work that comes in, I don't see it being a problem.

xx

I suspect Taylor misread it as ?4K a week, rather than a month. Either way it's really not the point of the thread, so we can move on from picking it to death now. We can all add up, especially when it comes to money :).

I think you can do it but you would need to offer incalls. Could you do outcalls until you have managed to save enough to get a flat - doesnt need to be a palace just half decent will do! Then your target is acheivable for sure. If it's 4000 for the month rather than the week lol

Morphea, have you had a look at the Main Site of SAAFE, it can be found at : http://www.saafe.info/

It is a detailed account of many things you need to know before you make up your mind.
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

I wasn't sure if I should reply here or start a new topic but I was searching on here for the very same questions. How much can I expect to earn?

One thing I did notice is people were being so honest with their declaration of earnings in terms of TAX/NI etc and going over threasholds and having to pay out huge amounts of money.

10 years ago I ran my own retail business (I also used to be a private hire driver), it was tough, but there are things I came to realise when it came to money. If money is paid to you through cash in your hand then techincally it doesn't need to exist, if however you purchased supplies with an invoice and that purchase belonged to a service you provided for payment then of course you need to declare where the money went for the goods you purchased. In essence there was a digital trail that you had to back up when it came to declaring things.

Unless we get clients who pay us with thier Barclay Gold cards or their debit cards, and as long as we don't physically bank our money then there isn't any physical digital trail to follow. No card transactions, no deposits in the bank. With this in mind, and of course for showing that you're activly working and paying your way. If you set a limit of say ?1500 pcm for your earnings, this is what you declare, anything outside of this you bank away privately. You would be earning enough to buy yourself a locked safe which you could store under the stairs or something where you live. It's secure and no one needs to know about it. As long as you're not splashing out on things all the time and making it plainly obvious that you've got more cash than you're declaring then you should be ok, secrecy is key though.

I don't think anyone here is going to offer advice on how to evade tax but here's an important point you need to consider.

If you are going to rent or buy property anywhere you need to show proof of earnings which equates to regular deposits into your bank. If you're hiding half your income in cash then that money doesn't exist in terms of being useful for large purchases which are subject to money laundering laws (i.e., you can't just rock up and buy a house with ?100k in cash - you'll be asked to prove where the money came from.)

You've also got the issue of what happens when the currency is changed, for example the new fivers which came out last year mean the old fivers are now not spendable. The same thing will happen to tenners later this year and I'm sure twenties and fifties will come along later.

Hello girls. This is a really great forum. You are very patient at answering the questions of all the newbies and I really hope you will have some patience with me as well even though I am sure you have seen dozens of questions like mines  :D .
I am a stripper and I am simply not making the kind of money I thought I would make as one. My average is 2,500? pcm. I would like to earn around 4,000? pcm (possibly more but I don?t want to get my hopes too high in this economy). I really appreciate how you ladies seem to be honest and realistic here, so please tell me if that is a realistic goal in this economy. I have read enough on this forum to know that how much you can make is determined by different factors, so here is some further info about my situation hoping that it can help you give me some more specific advice.
1.   Because I am currently focused only on earning as much as I can in order to buy a house and put away some savings, start a pension plan etc., I am willing to move pretty much anywhere in the UK to work. It seems that many of you work in London. The golden stripper rule is to avoid London at all costs, because there are too many girls working and because the City is so expensive that most of your income is spent for simple survival. Is it the complete opposite with escorting and is London a better place to go because it is larger and therefore is full of customers? But isn't London a very expensive place to live?
2.   I try to keep my expenses down so I share a flat with another girl (who is not in this industry). I would houseshare anywhere I went so obviously I cannot do incalls at my place. I also do not currently have the money to rent a place to do incalls, so I suppose incalls in general seem to be out of the picture. The thing that scares me about escorting is that from my outsider?s point of view it is a profession that is really FULL of expenses. Cabs (I don't have a car), renting an incall place etc? I wouldn?t want to end up spending half of the (idealistic) 4,000? I earn on these things and end up bringing home exactly the same amount of money I earn as a stripper if not less. Do you have any tips about how to budget/keep this whole thing under control?
3.   There are two things I refuse to do: the first is to take pictures of my face and post them on the internet (therefore my customers will only ever see my body when booking online) and the second is to work without condoms. I won?t do oral without condoms etc. How much do you think these conditions are going to hurt my earning potential?

Thank you so much for your time and help ladies  :)

You can earm easy a grand a week.

But that ?1000 a week, I presume that as others have said, this is probably only realistic if you're doing incalls either at your own place or from a rented room like in a hotel.

My situation only allows for me to make outcalls, can I still make enough money in a week to be more than comfortable. In other words still make more than what I could expect to earn from a conventional 9-5 office type job? Bearing in ming I'm in Birmingham and as others have already said here, it's not as good for the likes of working in Scotland or London.

To OP, you say you keep expenses down by flatsharing, but have you considered renting a place alone to live and work from? You would cut the costs of renting a separate incall place or getting a hotel room. Or if you really want to save, you could flatshare with another working girl (although this would put you at risk with the law, as more than one sex worker under the same roof is illegal).

Well said.

I declare absolutely everything and always will, but if I was tempted I would only not declare the one or two hundred quid I could spend in cash in a month on groceries etc. Keeping loads of cash just to avoid declaring your income is silly IMO.

It's doable in the ideal conditions, but comparatively few people will be in the ideal conditions - location, availability and so on make a huge difference and I certainly don't earn a grand a week every single week. I've had weeks where I've only done or been able to do one or two bookings and others where I've done ?1K in a day - that's what self-employment is like :).

Nobody can say what somebody else can or will earn, and the only way to find out for sure is by doing it. Once you've a rough idea of what your 'steady' or average weeks come out at you can start trying different things if you're not happy with it; switch prices around, cut unnecessary costs, putting up extra advertising and suchlike.

I want my villa in Florida and want to save and buy outright so declaring every penny is the only way.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.
