My cerazette mini-pill has now stopped my periods entirely ( after a 4 month wait )-though I started it for fear of condom breakage/pregnancy horror scare.

Just waiting of the Korean Ginseng to kick my sex drive back into * cat on heat * mode as before.. ::)

I found cerazette drove my sex drive through the roof!

I was literally coming home from a 4h booking and chasing the boyfriend round the house for sex!

I don't like taking hormones at all-I had a brilliant monthly cycle before-feeling high as a kite and bursting with energy for the first couple of weeks, comically emotional for about 2 days before my period ( The John Lewis commercial anyone? :'(- will be on youtube ) and then a very light and breezy bleed for a day or so.

Now my sex drive has all but disappeared, well-I still enjoy it, but I don't actively-ahem-'gag' for it  :P
Rather like a Vicar being a tad agnostic perhaps?  ;D

The fear of a damaged condom or some pri*k whipping it off at the last minute ( it happened to me and I posted a warning about him, though he didn't cum ) makes me feel I have no choice.

I did use the diaphragm for a while, but I found it irritating to insert and retrieve(-though I did wear false nails at the time ) and one client even grumbled about feeling it and when he next booked, wanted to be sure I wouldn't be wearing it.. ::)

I just use a hell load of condoms!  :-X

In my experience, the best pill is Yasmin. It had no effects at all, and lightened my bleeding alot!

I have it down pat, after trying all ways!
Sea sponge is crap, too soft, breaks up when you're trying to remove it.
RAMER baby sponge and diaphram. Boots and Superdrug have Ramer sponges. Very dense, good for soaking up, but very soft. Never had any itching or soreness.

This never fails me now, have done it 1000 times plus.

The diaphram ensures that the sponge doesn't get shoved in too far if if you have a big cock heaving away!

This is what I do -

Starting period, 3/4 of the baby Ramer sponge tucked into the dip of the diaphram. I add a little lube and fold it.

Mid period, 1/2 baby Ramer sponge tucked into the dip in the diaphram.

End of period, but worried about browny/red slime deep inside? I just use the diaphram then.

Red condoms are good too.
Ramer sponges are ?1-2.

Oh and SHV,

i use http://www.stressnomore.co.uk/Search/beppy for my sponges. Please DO NOT use any old sponge from the supermarket as they are not designed for intimate use due to the fibres in them  ;)

They're what I use and I just don't work on my heaviest days.

They can actually be reused, provided you're willing to boil them, then rewrap them when dry.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused

Depends how heavy the bleeding is Dexi.  If its not too bad what I used to do just before a booking if I had my period (before I went on Cerazette) is kinda douche myself (not with soap just warm water) with a soft cloth and that seemed to do the trick.

If its really heavy I think you are a bit buggered  :(

The other thing I found about Cerazette unfortunately is that during the first couple of months on it, I had irregular bleeding.   After that it settled down and has been brillient for me in that respect.

So that may be contributing to your problems.

Dr's can be absolutely useless at times.  She's going to give me some other pills, which (she says) should stop me bleeding in a couple of days.  I'm supposed to be touring on Thurs, so I guess if things haven't cleared up by then, I'm going to have to cancel.  Grrrrrrrr.
It's even more frustrating now then before I went on the coil.  I really do hope things sort themselves out in a couple of days.  I don't really want to be putting up with this for 3 months.  I simply can't afford to turn work away.

Thank you for listening though Mellow.  Really appreciate it.

I've just picked up my prescription which is to replace Cerazette, and have been given Marvelon.  Considering I said to the dr I wanted something to stop spotting whilst my coil settled in and not the combined pill, as it's full of side effects.  I can't believe she's given me it.  I may worry too much, but fear that it's not going to stop the spotting and I'm going to end up with some unsavoury side effect as well. Completely stressed out now, and beginning to wonder if it's worth just getting the procedure that burns the lining of your womb and have done with it.  :'(
