I tried it and didn't get one booking - but then I'm outcall only and don't display my number. All I got were timewasters who couldn't write a coherent email and one guy who'd never seen an escort before and kept asking stupid questions.

I have heard it's only good in certain areas. I've been told in Leicester it is quite good.

It makes my phone ring like crazy.... but the vast majority are idiots.

I'm not sure if I've ever had a good client from Vivastreet. I may have, but I can't remember. I mean, I've seen clients from there but they haven't been good ones that I can remember.

They somehow seem to attract the clueless numpties.

I did the month's free trial, and only got one booking, but umpteen calls from timewasters and morons.

The only positive I can say for it is that the client I did get has a young son who uses his phone, so it has adult content block on it and he thus can't access AW etc., whereas VS is fine.

Ask on the Vivastreet thread in the Lion's Den and the person who admins for Vivastreet will see your post and answer your question.

The one thing I will say for them is they have good customer service.

Was touring and used Vivastreet, big mistake. Had an ad on the Carousel and still not one decent booking.
I still wonder how to tour successfully in London because I won't give my personal details to AW, so London doesn't really work for me. If anyone has suggestions, I am happy to take your advise.

I hear Backpage is good for London. I find it fairly good for Manchester but have never tried it in London.

Hi,

I used to use Vivastreet regularly for years both when it was free and when you had to start paying, as a touring escort I can say for Birmingham it was really good for me and I would get quite afew clients from there, for Manchester nothing but time wasters and cheapskates trying to haggle, for London I didnt get one booking from there or many calls, Leicester wasnt too bad, Glasgow loads of time wasters and a good fair bookings,

Hope that helps x

Whereabouts are you located?

It seems that different sites work in different places. Someone else in this thread has experienced the same thing as I have in Manchester: phone rings plenty but they're all idiots. I have had good results from Backpage but I gather it's useless for other places.

It can be helpful to Google "Escorts in NAMEOFYOURTOWN" and similar things to see what pops up. But keep in mind that this can be a double-edged sword: the first thing to pop up on Google will be the first thing clueless idiots who aren't experienced punters will find. Vivastreet is very high in the rankings for Manchester. That's why my phone rings a lot from it. It just doesn't translate to bookings very well.

I'm going to give Vivastreet a miss for a couple of months. Although it makes my phone ring with lots of twats, I do think they work hard to improve the site. They're adding things like being able to tick boxes for what services you offer and will be introducing a search capacity for punters for this. They're rolling out a plan to separate agency listings from independents, too. I think that I will check back with them in a couple of months after those changes have gone into effect to see if it improves things.

One of my goals this year is to become far less reliant on AW for my business. It's not easy to do this because AW is so much the leader in the business and it's very easy to be complacent. Going outside of AW means spending more money and learning new ways to screen for good clients. There's also increased admin involved: if I change prices or services I have to change that on every site/profile I have. I know some girls do well with Twitter and blogging but that takes time and energy that I don't always have. It can take time to build things up but I'm taking little steps to do that on a regular basis and I hope it pays off.

Sorry to ask but Why do you want to be less reliant on AW? I find it quite useful, organized and helpful in the sense that, I can organize my working days and how I want to be featured, and I don't need to spend a lot of time on it, plus the private gallery allows us to make money to pay for the paid features.

I agree. I don't want to extend from AW at present because I like that I can not show my number and organise bookings and be almost certain they aren't timewasters based on their feedback. It keeps the work of being independent quite streamlined I think. It's why I stay away from vivastreet etc... I don't really like taking phone bookings while I'm working part time. I don't have the time for timewasters.

So far, that has been my experience as well. But AW has gone down for days at a time in the past (not recently but I think it happened a couple of years ago). And we all know that they can capriciously and arbitrarily yank your profile for any reason they want - a malicious report from a rival or disgruntled punter can do it.
