I've been on viva street for years, I wouldn't ever get rid of it.

Whereabouts are you located?

I have used it in Exeter, Bristol and Brighton. Although, Ii do find that the local free ad type websites (trade it/ friday ad) work better for me.

Also - have you noticed that Viva Street are now allowing you to display your prices for no charge. I wonder how this will affect business, coz I get an awful lot of calls asking for price then saying "ah, yeah I'll call you back".

I was always able to list my prices within the description. I still got calls asking how much because guys don't bother reading!
We're women, it's what we do. I just get paid for it.

It isn't essential to display a number on vivastreet ads.

I have used it with just email contact only to good effect.

When I was whoring I used vivastreet most of the time, along with AW. I'm with Ivy and wouldn't do without it but it was cheaper then.

The last time AW went down for three days was back in June 2013 and girls were coming online screaming like heidless chickens. We suggested they got listed on other directories and sites but I doubt they listened.

Sites like AW are going to get targeted because when it goes down so many people are inconvenienced.  It's the same with the other big sites too.
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

I'm not going to renew when this month runs out. It definitely makes my phone ring but I've had almost no viable calls that translated into bookings. I think there was one so I got my money back. And he was a bit of a pain in the ass. As far as I know, I have never had a good booking from Vivastreet.

I think this may just be the situation in Manchester. Other cities may fare differently.

It's a pity as I do think their customer service is very good and it's not their fault that the click throughs are coming from idiots.

You make an excellent point and that is why I'm dedicating some time and energy this year to finding other places to advertise. Unfortunately, VS hasn't really been worth it to me. Yes, I made my money back but it's got to the point where the ring of my secondary/test marketing work phone makes me wince.

I'm still happy with Backpage and there's a regional site/board that is sort of OK-ish (although focuses heavily on HE massage and parlours).

I use the link to my website & in my website i have the link to my adultwork. So they can have a thorough look over & weed out the timewasters really. I have deffinatley had a lot of calls from vivastreet, however, given there isn't much competition in my area on vivastreet, i found spending the ?60 instead of ?100 did the job. (compared to phone clicks & veiws and it was pretty much the same last month vs this month)

Last month I didn't think it was worth it, (although I got a couple of bookings) I'm in Scotland!  I renewed a week ago, as things were quiet and have had bookings from it, so I am happy to say that it does work.  Although you get lots of timewasters on it, but that's just a problem with the job I guess.  I am outcall only, so not sure if that would be the info. you are after?

Viva Street?

Reading about all the problems being encountered on the above, is it worth advertising there?
I am going on tour and frankly, if I can't move locations overnight like I can on AW, I just don't see the point. Also there seem to be issues with pictures, payment by debit card and prices.
I have until next week to decide but right now it looks like a major headache not to mention pricey, although if it works it's worth it, as with all advertising. But, I don't need another headache and once one problem is resolved it looks like another rears its ugly head!!

Experiences please?

I think its one of those it works for some and not for others.

I did a free trial and even though it is the very first site on Google for my area apart from 1 or 2 timewasters I got nothing from it.

I've advertised on and off on VS, and have location issues - their database puts me somewhere else.

Anyhow, I agree completely with the through the night "r u workin'" type calls and texts.

I have recently had probably 2 very decent bookings(1 definitely, the other I'm not sure it came from VS!) from there from 2 months of advertising. I also have the same guys phoning me in direct reponse to the VS whenever I advertise, over a period of 5 years!!!! Each time it's the same questions, and off down the line of 'will you really suck my cock?" ::)

It does work but it's like the old newspaper ads and requires patience.

What are their registration requirements? Do you need to 'verify' with documentation like AW?

I've decided to give it a miss and have left my thoughts for Vivastreet in the Spamming section.

It looks like a godawful mess of a thing and not worth the effort. I have enough hassle without trying to advertise being one of them.  :FF

Viva street has been brilliant for me. This is my second month and still doing ok from it, so much so I don't bother much now with AW. Of course if and more than likely when things change I will change my strategy. Back page was a non starter for me only ever got TW and  eejits. I still get calls from AW but I hardly log into there now.
Be in your happy place

Maybe it depends on your location, Carmel?

I could give it a go for the first week of my tour and see how it goes.
