Work dresses for you
« on: 28 February 2015, 01:38:17 am »
I've spent like 2 hours going through asos because i need new work dresses really & more time on ebay. Found like 1 i liked, as they were either too girly, too formal or too abstract.

Then while i was on my facebook feed this popped up and it is literally work dress galore :

wantthattrend.com/dresses/?sort=newest

Can't comment on the quality of the dresses but whatever cheap enough :)

This sounds like spam sorry i don't know if i'm allowed to share finds

I usually go for something classy that is sure to make my figure look good while being relatively easy to take off and on.

The dresses all look very nice, and if it's your style then go for it!

edit: Now saw that you were promoting this website and not asking about advice. Definitely think someone would be interested in these, but the post should be in Seeking/Offering.

I use boohoo for work dresses. I find the quality looks really good for the price and they have stuff for incalls or outcalls.

no i'm not promototing them i just came across them thought they'd be handy.

Oh wow boohoos are better actually XD I've gone through so many highstreet ones and none have been as appropriate which is weird given you'd assume the fashion is all the same.

I'm so short buying online doesn't work for me but I find New Look have some decent bodycon dresses as do miss selfridge. Not too pricey either so doesn't matter if an accident happens - does feel weird dressing up in a dress, heels and hair and makeup done at 11am though!
asos might be worth a try and free returns if the item doesn't fit!

I have been seeing all these pop=up ads on stuff on my screen, some look really nice. v cheap and from Korea, but I am wondering if they are a total waste of time, or ridiculously short (I'm 5'9")  I think often measurements on these type of things aren't accurate?  I think it was Eric something or other, can't remember off hand.  Experience?

Definitely beware that one site... God, what is it called, I will try to find out...Nastydress! That's what it's called. There's a hilarious HuffPo piece written by someone who ordered from them. Photos from catalog next to photos of what actually arrived. I cried with laughter.

The problem with ordering from the Orient is that their sizes really do run very small. I'm not really sure why that is but I suspect that it comes down to vanity sizing. There's an official measurement for each UK size and then there's what they sell at H&M and they're not at all the same.

Same here I bought one calked slinky Karon from them and it's fab so ordered a load more in different colours I paid 15 for each dress with free delivery  and it's really very nice I would have paid a lot more for it
I want something that clingy sexy but easy to take off /on and won't get wrecked by clients hands /watches snagging it

I look for exactly the same thing as you and that is the only place I can get them. For the tall girls - I'm 5'10... I just don't buy their 'mini dresses' lol... because they really are quite short. Buy the stuff that the images show as just above the knee.

Haven't checked the links but my personal fave is a jersey wrap dress. Tumble dry them wear, no ironing required! Sexy but not too revealing and just fab. I need to find some more!!  ;D x

I actually find the asos petite range is really good. I tend to wear quite simple outfits for working - knee-length black dresses that are maybe a bit low cut/clingy and they always have loads on asos that I like. I got a great pencil skirt from the petite range that was the perfect length and a red v-neck dress. They have sales all the time too :D
