Planning To Go Civy?.
« on: 20 October 2016, 10:52:46 pm »
Third time lucky.....

The time has come to try and go part time civy at least after trying full time twice before and couldn't cope. My plan is to slowly go through the transition that will be more beneficial rather than wham bam type thing. My fingers are crossed because this is my last chance to prepare and go for it despite my anxiety getting in the way. Does any one have some tips to share? please.

Why not sign up with a temping agency to begin with? That way you can choose when you want to work. There'd usually be no pressure or obligation to accept bookings so you keep your flexibility and at the same time ease yourself back into an 'employment' mindset.
I work on a casual, zero hours basis at the moment and it suits me fine. :)

Thank you I feel more than ready this time going part time civy before reaching my goal full time.  And will remind myself  of all the cons plus everything I want can't be achieved through escorting. So need to do this for my self progression.

Looking online for more part time jobs tonight for a browse. :)

I feel this time it has to be it and know it will be a struggle at times once this process starts with employment. But it can't be any worse than escorting. I'm fed up with all the nonsense escort brings to be honest.

There comes a time I think when enough is enough. This is where I am some thing needs to change and despite feeling depressed I will do my best to achieve this. And have a good therapist by my side who is non judgmental helping me.

I will take this one day at a time to cope is my strategy.

I already tried the agency before on my last attempts to go civy it didn't work out for me.  But will give it a 'rethink soon.

Is there any specific type of work that you want to do?

Also, it's hard to say without knowing your previous experience and qualifications. It might be worth doing some evening classes or even formal qualifications if there's anything in particular that would help you, like computer skills, English, maths, whatever.

Any thing part time then in the future when ready will take up sales again full time.  All this planning involved but worth it. Even though I am feeling anxious about it.  Today it has been one of those days where i get anxious one minute then have a calm moment at peace then anxious again.

I keep telling myself to not worry, this is a bit of those feelings before then tried. But this time it is about improving my health and wellbeing.

Any change I feel anxious so this sounds normal I think.

Hi there

I wondered, what was it about your last attempt to go civvy that didn't work? Was it throwing yourself into working with other people again?

If so, why not get some work which is less people-focussed so you can not blast yourself with other people at first?

Just a thought xx

Good evening,

I enjoyed it alot funnily enough, it was when I got home with not much support behind me. But now feel more is there especially with having support from an organisation for sex workers. We email and it was such a release to get everything out she is emailing me back with support. I'm just about to type up with all the beneficial reasons of this change to always pick me up when anxious. My therapist said he saw a change in me last night, that was instead of complaining about x y and z I am thinking about ways to reach my goal. I then said that last time it wasn't thought through. I just wanted out and that's it.

He is very escort friendly and talks to me like any one and believe he has helped me alot. He works out my problems for me and helps me see there is light.

An update.....

I leave soon to see about a part time job. :) It has been up and down with my mood recently what with the stress involved. I woke up this morning feeling very positive making the most of this. It is very good talking with others going through similar helping each other. :)

Each day has its challenge hopefully not to long.

Xx,
