Online therapy
« on: 14 January 2017, 05:40:36 am »
Do any of you folks have any experience or maybe even recommendations when it comes to online therapy? I'd like to get some assistance from a professional, but I'm in the ass of nowhere with not many licensed therapists and no ability to commute to find any in a larger area. While the stuff I need help with is not work-related, I'd like to make sure the professional is sexworker-friendly so they don't just try to pin all my issues on the job. Any input welcome.

I've received online therapy, unfortunately the therapist did have an issue with my job - then tried to cover it up. I do know there are professional therapists who do not have any issues, but not a clue how to find that out without seeing them.

Online I thought might be wierd, it turned out that once you get talking you just become very absorbed, and it's very convenient - you can do it with someone else in the house, no travelling etc.

I'm not even in the UK, sadly. There are no outreach types of organizations up here (am in Norway, in a very rural area).
