Advice needed for PhD research...
« on: 24 November 2016, 10:35:27 am »
Hi everyone,

My name's Jess I'm a PhD student at City, University of London. I posted on this forum just over one year ago as I was looking for students working in the sex industry to take part in my Masters research. Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you as I received such a great response and everyone was so helpful so, I just wanted to say thanks again!

My PhD research is slightly different. This time round I'm looking for 3rd year undergraduate students working in London's stripping industry to take part in my new research project. While I am aware this website is specifically for support and advice for escorts, based on the positive experience I had when using this site previously, I thought it might be worth a shot asking if by any chance:

1. There are people using this forum who also work as dancers
2. If anyone knows anyone else who fits the criteria and could pass this information on
3. If there are other forums which may be more suitable (other than stripperweb)
4. Or any advice on other ways I could potentially recruit respondents

If you would like to take part or for further information please do get in touch via email that would be much appreciated...

Jessica.Simpson@city.ac.uk

Thanks again and best wishes,

Jessica.

Is your masters work available anywhere?

That is a very specific request - if someone's course is four years long, do you want them in their third year or their final year?

'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply  :)

My MA research has not been published yet, but I am in the process of doing so. Sorry, I should have been more specific and should have taken into account students on 4 year courses. I would be looking to recruit students in their final year of study. If this is something you would be interested in or alternatively, if you know anyone who might, if you could send me a quick email that would be great and we can discuss this further... Jessica.Simpson@city.ac.uk

Thanks again,

Jess

3. If there are other forums which may be more suitable (other than stripperweb)

Stripper web is the best forum. Other forums?

Maybe you can try your luck on the webcam girls forums. Because some girls who do webcam also do striptease.  At least that's what I used to do.

For example,

wecamgirls dot com
or
ambercutie dot com

I think there are also private facebook groups but I do not know them.
