Oh my, yes!
There have been a few men who had been seeing me about once a week, for about a year, that I agreed to allow bbfs AFTER they had a full panel, including viral antibodies. Of the three, one's tests came back with HSV 2 (genital).  Weird, right? Why would he do the tests (several hundred dollars in the US), knowing what they'd say?

Like you said, he said he'd been getting "rashes" periodically since college!  Are you kidding me?!?

I would never do bbfs  :-\

Sorry about that

You do know that someone can get a full screen pass and the same day fuck someone catch something and then mosey over to yours for BB with their 'clean' certificate......why would you risk yourself and your business

At the end of the day it is a risk civvy life or professional life, we have unprotected sex with our longterm partners but we do not know whether they play away or see other wg's and whether or not they have protected sex with those individuals.

It is the same in our professional lives, our clients might have protected sex with fellow sex workers but on their nights out or one night stands can the same be said and is their then sexual participant a clean player.

Sex is a constant risk and Herpes as said everybody carries the virus and remains dormant until you either have a very stressfull period or fall very ill.  But what are we going to do, take kissing off the table and reverse oral, which can be done but unfortunately we live in a time where men do not see it that way and even though they deem us dirty and disease ridden are prepared to take that chance not considering he consequences.

Precisely. I wasn't escorting at all when I contracted genital herpes.

In my experience, it's men who are the risk, civvy or punters because none I have met have ever shown any concern about contracting an STI; only getting their end away.

Which is why I made the decision to not have unprotected intercourse with my long-term partner, even after marriage. Mistrust? Nope I just want to be sure everyone is protected (including him) - far, far simpler that way rather than wondering.

Once I was asked by a "punter" whom I had seen twice before, he insisted on bareback to which I declined. Later, I asked if he's getting checked out for his disease status.  He said, he never knows where to go to get it checked and certainly, he won't be asking his GP to do it.  ::)  I doubt he would bother until his cock starts to fall off.    That was the last time I saw him.  I noticed he visited someone, who offered bareback sex.   Too risky.

My ex fella,  said, when I confronted him about his apparent lack of concern about contraception in any sense prior to shagging me:
"Well, you're OK aren't you? I know I am!"
When I asked how he knew I was "OK", he replied that he "would know/be able to see".
Needless to say, he had never had himself checked out either.

I can't believe I carried on seeing him now, looking back.

It's much harder when feelings get involved.  *Pat on your back.*

I know it's gone off-topic.  Sorry about that.
Do you know who had passed this onto you?  If your client knew he was contagious (subclinical or clinical flare) and he still had sex with you (how so selfish without any consideration for the consequences), could he be sued for what he did and for compromising your ability to work e.g. damage?  Hope you feel better today   :-*

Huh?

Take no notice, Kiara.

Lucie, nobody is getting sued. As you've said, it's off topic and unhelpful so whilst you're welcome to keep it up please do so via PM :).

There are zero topics on this for women.

If I had a small herpetic rash on my groin and had protected sexual intercourse with multiple men, what can you catch from that? Thank you x

If you're going through an active outbreak of herpes you can easily pass it on, condom or no condom.

Well given that Herpes can be passed on skin to skin and condoms do not cover the balls (and in fact can ride up slightly during intercourse)do you really want to take the risk of still passing this on to someone?I personally wouldn't have any sex if I had a Herpes outbreak.

You will probably infect multiple men.
