Timewaster / Abusive Messages - East London
« on: 21 January 2017, 10:52:24 pm »
Had a message asking if I was free for a booking at 6.50 tonight for 'as soon as I can from now'.

I had a little free time before my next booking - plenty enough for the half hour this guy was looking for. I said he could have around 7.20-7.30 - if that suited him put through a booking in AW, which he did eventually. I sent that message at 7pm on the dot - at this stage he already knew I was 3 minutes walk from one of 2 tube stations, so he knew where he was headed. My message wasn't read until 7.15 which I put down to maybe travel time so I let it slide, at which point even though he put the booking through at 7.17 and it was cutting things fine time wise, I figured as he'd known where I was since 6.54 he had plenty of time to find his way here so I accepted it, even though to be honest I had started to wonder if he was going to show.

At 7.17 I sent him a text to the number on the booking request asking if I had the right number - no reply.
I sent a message through AW at the same time he sent me one - mine saying he hadn't replied, had he got my message and could he check the number he gave me? His said he'd made a booking request and could I let him know my number.
He immediately replied to mine and said 'sorry I might not of updated my number it .....' and provided a different number.
I immediately messaged the new number at 7.32 asking if this number worked. He replied and said yes so I gave him more specific instructions to where I was, and asked if he was far away (at this point he'd had 35 minutes to get to me). He said 'no few minutes'. I asked him to message when he was here to let me know and I'd send him my room number.
It's now 7.38 and he texts 'I'm here now but do u know nearby cash machine'.  :FF

This is where it all went downhill. I'm not local to London so I explained I didn't know and by this time we're 10 minutes past the booking start time. I knew there wasn't one within a couple of blocks of where I am so I said to him that it wasn't going to work out, as by the time he found an ATM and came back (presumably 10+ minutes) it was going to be too late (20 mins after the start time and with only 10 minutes of his allocated time left before I was due to start cleanup for my next client) and overlap with my next booking (true), at which point he tried to negotiate by saying he only had x funds on him, would I knock some time off the booking in exchange for less payment?

I made the comment that I wasn't sure if he'd done this deliberately but I was uncomfortable with the situation - he'd given me the wrong number and shown up late without enough money which was ridiculous - and I don't do discounts which is clearly stated on my profile. I apologised for it not working out, but made the point that I'd already set aside my dinner time for him, and I wasn't prepared to have to cancel my next paying client as well to accommodate him just because he was running late.

Cue the f* bombs, blaming me, making excuses, and lastly threatening to let people know on [a punting forum] about my b*llsh*t.

I politely replied that there was no need to be abusive, he was welcome to leave any comment anywhere he liked and pointed out where things had gone wrong.

He replied 'U too. The fitter girl I was waiting to reply so I dodged a bullet thanks'.

Absolutely charmer, and that English.... just wow. I think I'm the one who dodged the bullet here.

Current number seems to be 079568981xx
Old number / first number he gave me 075578783xx
Current AW username DanON26  - User ID 2464459 in case he changes it

His AW feedback suggests he is prone to cancelling (2 neutrals for that), and he's been reported once before here on SAAFE for similar behaviour to what I experienced on this link here: http://www.saafe.info/main/index.php?topic=36324.msg273795#msg273795

I should have done my checks better so I have to chalk this one up as being my own mistake... but accept this guy with caution ladies. As I have mentioned on similar posts like this before, granted it's only text messages but anyone that volatile in texts is a big red flag... who knows what they'll be like if they don't get their way in person.

Stay safe ladies!!
