it's in the writing.
« on: 21 February 2017, 02:38:22 am »
So had a two hour  booking today, the guy used a stamp and markers to write on me.
?
Got home ran a bath and started to wash the writing off, would it come off, no way. Spent hours trying to get it off with nail varnish remover and the marker pen is shifting slowly but the stamp, that seems permanent :(

Try olive oil or baby lotion mixed with sugar , it's like a body scrub but won't make you sore !
Lmao ( sorry) but sometimes we do some funny things ! Hope it works x

I've never heard of this service before, I wouldn't let any one stamp or write on me but each to their own, go and buy some microdermabrasian scrub, it's tougher then body scrub and gives you new skin, it may feel a bit sore after but just lather yourself in E45 cream, also those exfoliating gloves may help  :).

I'd never heard of that one either.  Is this a 'thing' too?!

Did make me smile but seriously, if you're going to offer this service again, payment for 2 hours is not enough!  Tell him the ink lasted 24hr+ and prevented you taking other bookings, therefore you will have to charge him accordingly!   ::)

(Hope this idea catches on,  I'd be ok with a dollop of marker pen twice a week and getting paid for the duration!)

Was he using specialized pens and stamps that are made for going on skin or had he just bought along some semi-permanent markers and stamps?

Just seems a long time to spend trying to get it off if it's made to go on your body. Unless it needs something specific to remove it.

Lol you probably should check what they are using before you let them do it that's such a waste of time trying to get it off especially if you have other bookings. Hand sanitiser gels usually work well for me when trying to get permanent ink off.

This is why I asked, I would either need to thoroughly examine them and how to get them off, or have my own that I knew how to remove beforehand.

Oh dear! Next time make them buy those kids washable markers. Or buy a few from Poundland, that stuff goes off easily. I believe you can find everything, markers of all colours sizes and stamps as well.

And yes, always check what they "use on you". I offer sploshing sometimes and they like to bring their stuff. I always tell them to check with me first what they intend to buy.

I don't have any ideas other than what has already been suggested (stamps at clubs often take a few days to disappear completely) but I am so curious--did this seem to excite him?  Writing I guess I can understand--drawing around your nipples or something but the stamp?  They never cease to amaze me....

Don't be sorry, it is OK to laugh. I was a little upset when the ink did not want to wash off but soon saw the funny side. I now recall drawing on my cousin's face with a marker which would not come off, got into so much trouble over it lol, so should have known.

Alcohol to get the marker off, well most of it, but the stamp is still there, faded but visible. Luckily it is only in three places although one of them is on my forehead, but I have a long fringe.

Had a car meet booking tonight, well van meet. Hoped as it would be dark he would not see my new tattoos, but he noticed them and thought it hilarious, offered to cover them up by painting double yellow lines over me.

Next time I am taking my own pens :) and no stamps.

I don't want sounds insane but when my dad was fixing cars, he used to wash the most dirty bits by using petrol. You can put a bit of petrol on cotton. Just try it if anything else will not work x

It might be worth investing in a jar of swarfega if this is going to be a regular occurrence. I think you can buy it from most hardware stores.
