I don't drive. Never have and probably never will.

The idea of not accepting car-less punters is ridiculous. I'm a car-less escort, should clients think I'm no good for an outcall? Well I'm sorry I don't drive partly because I  always lived City Centre with a lot of transport and zero parking space and partly because I am bloody lazy and why would I bother when I can take a cab when necessary (train/plane/whatever means of transport I have available to me in 21st century).

Majority of my clients get to me walking or by cab. My job is to make it extremely clear to them where I am based and provide them with precise directions so they can get to me without trouble. It's absolutely irrelevant how they get to me as long as they tell me they can get to me without problem. Which is why my flat is in the city centre and when I work hotels it's city centre as well.

If you decide to divide your punters into categories, and so you decide that car-less group is not worth your time then so be it but ... Punters with cars come with a hell lot of trouble and shitty excuses: late because of bad traffic, can't find a parking space, can't park in your area, oh but there's no free parking in your area, and so on...

When a client says to me "I don't drive" I simply take it as "he needs to know walking distance or a bus or roughly cab fare". I just translate the "I don't drive" into "please explain how to get to you". And i really think 99% of the time I'm right. Stop digging.

Thank you, ladies.  Will see how things pan out.  Yes, it could be a medical reason as to why using a public transport or if you are based in the town centre, then it would be far more inconvenient if you had a car.   It makes sense.   :)

I usually give my postcode, advise as to the easiest route, bus or taxi or if I have the time I will give them a lift.

Probably half my clients use public transport and I have never noticed them being any less reliable than car drivers. People who don't drive are usually capable of getting themselves to where they need to be. I sometimes think drivers are more of a nuisance because they get lost/ stuck in traffic/ can't park so its swings and roundabouts.

I think as an escort you just have to work out the clearest way to describe how to get to your location.

You give them a lift?  :o Do you use your own car? You know they can get your full name and address from the number plate?

I always give a landmark on my street and then ask them to phone me. I can tell more over the phone at the initial point of contact. I had more in call bookings no shows compared than those getting a taxi.

I think it would be very similar when taking an in call booking.

I think the means of transport doesn't define the client as a messer. The stage before accepting the booking over the phone does just my opinion.

Some people just don't drive it doesn't have to be due to health reasons or convenience!
Hard as it may be to believe but having a car is not the be all and end all!
I came from a family where we never had a car and I never had the urge to learn to drive or to have a car either.
I really don't see what the big deal is regarding how someone chooses to get somewhere or how this translates into them being a timewaster.

Yes I agree with Bibi too.

I don't drive, maybe I will in the future but just now the cost of taking drive lessons, buying a car, buying fuel, paying for insurance, upkeep etc is not feasible.

Plus when I take the train or bus as well as being cheaper I don't then have to spend ages trying to find somewhere to park and then have to pay to park.

Agreeing with the three ladies above, I'm also without a driver's license and have no interest in getting one. Not health related, just personal preference.  ;D

+5. I decided the roads were safer without me.  :D

It's amazing how some of us manage without a car - something dedicated drivers find it difficult to get their heads round...  ::)

Count me in with all of the above too. Never had a driving license or any interest in getting one, and still somehow managed to travel all over the country and the world my entire adult life :).

The best way to see the world.  If one is using cars, you only see the motorways and services most of the time.

Certainly, I will try to be far more "open-minded" about these chaps from now on.   Thank you once again, for the great insights, ladies.   :-*

I don't think its about drivers V non drivers  ::) In my experience whenever a client has made a big song and dance about the fact they don't drive they are generally angling for a lift and when I've said no they have done things like what VC mentioned about her client who basically had an adult tantrum because of it. These type of clients assume that because you drive that you're going to run around molly coddling them without considering the inconvenience, and on occasion when I have given lifts its never been appreciated anyway. I just tell them to get a taxi its about ?7 each way they can either take it or leave it.

I have plenty of good clients who come by public transport and they don't even mention it, I just give my road name and postcode and they find their way to me without even saying how they will travel, its the same for getting anywhere isn't it!?

I've been driving since my early 20's but have had periods of time where I haven't had a car and whenever I've arranged to go somewhere never felt the need to mention it, I've just looked up my route and made my way to wherever and back.

Exactly Katrina. If the client can afford to pay my hourly rate and is adult enough to book an escort, surely they can sort out their own transport!

I have experienced this type before that want you to hold their hand through every fucking part of the booking process
"Can I park there, where can I park, will I get a ticket, is there number plate recognition, what if the number plate recognition goes wrong somehow?" (This last one was seriously asked me last week! I said "Have you ever experienced number plate recognition failing at a car park?" He said "No." I said "So why are you worrying about it? If the barrier doesn't go up then you just press the button to speak to an attendant." Jesus  ::))

I now tend to assume that when they come out with shit like this, they expect you to run around like a bloody PA sorting out their parking/transport, maybe coming out to meet them if you're in a hotel, all for the pleasure of their company and god forbid you should have any other clients you might want to think about, you need to drop everything NOW and see them!

When I've actually ended up in a booking with guys like this it has always been a miserable experience with them either pushing boundaries or chatting shit that winds me up, or - my personal bete noire - counting out the money really slowly into your hand like you're too stupid to add up. Bitch, I worked in a cash office for years and I'm really fucking certain I can count notes faster than you can. Oh and when they do this, the chance of them trying to short you increases by about 50% in my experience.

When they start coming out with this shit now I just tell them to call me back when they've had a look on Google maps and worked out how to get here. They never do.
