Sale-time? "This time next year we will be millionaires!"
« on: 20 March 2017, 03:33:53 pm »
Im sure some have their own thoughts about whats happening in this business,
I think im finding March worse than Jan and Feb this year, and I think the thread on being quiet is a great morale-booster so we know we arent alone.
Yes, ofcourse as in any business, some are going to do better than others, especially if you have a niche, and not just one of hundreds.

I got lent a book  a few years back (lent not bought lol!) about how to become a millionaire-I skimmed through it, but always remember one part, it was about a guy who bought a company that was selling crap for 50p per item, and it was struggling, he bought the company and immediately doubled the price of everything and made a killing, the thought being, if somethings too cheap its probably rubbish, but pay a bit more and will be better.

When I left school I was a retail manager and in the Jan sales before laying staff off for the Feb lull, the first question customers asked with reduced stock-was "whats wrong with it?"

I reduced my prices in Feb, and it didnt make a scrap of difference, put them back up in March and certainly first week or two did alright!

Whats your thoughts on price-drops?

I think they don't do much. You may be slightly busier but you will earn less per booking.

Too low and you'll look like something is wrong with you.

I am low volume anyway I have noticed it being very quiet since the new year but I would rather have fewer bookings at my normal price than feel I was undervaluing the service I give. We all have quiet times and its the same in every business but best not to panic and just stick to your normal prices in my opinion. I have never nor will ever do a lower rate just because it is a quiet time of year I have a reduced rate for regulars but that is my choice a sort of loyalty bonus a bit like Tesco club card points!

I put my prices up a few months ago and it hasn't affected my bookings. For a few selected regulars who seem me a few times a month I have kept their rates at the lower rate prior to my increase.
A kind of a loyalty bonus if you like.

I think it's extremely variable and depends on what you're offering, what "niche" you're in, how many others are in competition with you, and the general economy of the area you're in.

I have experimented with price drops and in some areas I get more bookings but in others it doesn't make a difference.

If you are low volume then I think it's worth while raising prices until you find the "sweet spot" where you're getting the right amount of bookings and getting maximum value from each one.

well I did a special offer late jan and early feb doing an hour for ?100 instead of my usual ?120 and found I got more hour  and two hour appointments so I decided to leave them at that price until the economy picks up and I'm doing fine and hardly ever get asked to do half hour appointments ( : it suits me fine but I know that is to low a price for many other girls x

Low price will always attract punters if your price is low.  Look at EE ladies seeing punters with their competitive price (they may not be strictly indies, though).  Cheap is good for punters.  A bit like a bargain price. I know some UK ladies whose price start from 40.   This must have been unheard of ten years ago?  Not sure.  I moved, so I don't really know.

Decent unattached punters, who want a decent quality time, I know they don't mind paying more.   Married ones seem cash strapped.  Their budget is somewhat restricted (?) by their partners/wives watching?   He ought to get a separate account.  ;D

Booking have been a see saw. I had very quiet weeks in January and the other week was a crush. I have wondered about lowering my prices but really don't know. I have wondered if my rates are optimistic. I also worry about my own perceived value. I refuse to be the cheapest! ;D

I have held back on lowering my prices and have ways to improve what I offer and market myself better. I want to improve not undercut myself which will make improving quality more difficult.

I too have experimented dropping my prices during long episodes of being quiet. I have concluded that in my case, it makes no difference whatsoever.

I think it depends on the situation....if you are one of 10,000 WGs in London dropping ?20 an hour is unlikely to make any difference, but if you are in a niche where you are one of 50, and your prices are already at the high end of the spectrum, that ?20 an hour could make all the difference and could get some extra through the door.  If you feel OK working for the lesser amount is for you to decide.

I do know from various sources I've read that guys don't think what a bargain when they see a girl at below a certain rate, they wonder why she can't get business at the 'usual' rates and why she's had to drop them.  Which ties in with what was in the OP's book.

There are a lot of variables.

Me too, however I have also had clients comment to me that they have then been asked for cash for almost literally everything on the "likes" list as an "extra" - so kissing is extra, RO extra, OWO extra, etc etc. One guy I saw a couple weeks ago commented that if he'd paid all the extras that were asked he would have ended up paying over ?200 for the hour for what was advertised as ?100. (And this wasn't in London.)

Interesting, VC.
?100/hr basic service.  I haven't looked at the "small print" on their profiles but will have a look next time I see the profiles of these young stunners.

Apparently a lot of the cheaper girls charge extras for kissing, owo, reverse oral, cim, anal. Some even charge for you to touch them and don't even strip off. So they end up a lot more expensive if you are after a get.

These young, hottest bombshell EE escorts do have hundreds of feedbacks, too.  I have seen some men visiting one of these a few days per week.  Maybe, men are willing to pay extras on top as they are so grateful for the service performed by these young stunning escorts.
