How To deal With Disapproval?
« on: 26 April 2017, 07:55:00 pm »
I have just been accused by a client for falsely advertising just because of my escort name change. Omg how pathetic this guy is?.

I kindly said escorts do this some times, do clients think they own us blimey.

I was a name for 5 years after a slight change I am in the wrong.  I got bored of hence the change, for myself not for clients. Regulars call my me old name which is fine I don't mind.

But the response so far is good with my new name.

Have any experienced similar and have got any advice in general please.

So long as you aren't being deceptive in any way, carry on as you are. Many people will tell you how to run your own business, take on board the useful, relevant stuff, discard the stuff which isn't useful.

Sure thing maybe he knew me as my old name and preference given the chance I would have explained. I'll just focus on doing the best I can with business
I have to remind myself some times that we can't please everyone.

I'd say he's being unreasonable. You definitely can't please everyone and as long as the changes suit you, that's the best thing.

You're right he is pathetic. Punters love to note aliases so they can track a woman's career but frankly no one's under any obligation to notify anyone of their old names.

If you know they are wrong then let it lie. Bitter angryness comes from their life not yours (school of life - how to deal with criticism) is a good video to deal with the barage of comments / hate we get as service providers. A change in name indicates a refresh, a change in your services for the better. Plenty of popular models / bands etc have done so

I changed my name once.  I was new when I picked my first name and never really liked it.  Perhaps the punter who gave you grief is one of those who can't understand why we don't give them our "real" names in the first place?  I say ignore him and move on.  It's his issue, not yours.

Hugs,
Mandy

Since that blip many are more than happy with my new name change I prefer it over my old one. It give me a new persona to build on. Sure some punters don't like change but saying that I am not a big fan of but sometimes have to progress.

Just ignore him, silly fool he is.

There's always going to be that one whiny miserable sod who thinks he knows it all (and we have all come across them haven't we girls?).

How dare he try to tell you how to run your business?

What I have realised doing this is that you cannot please them all, some like this, some like that,  there is always stupid unwanted criticism from the odd one here or there when there is a change but just ignore it.

Do what works for YOU and go by your gut instinct is the one good lesson I have learnt here.
