How Long Should A Phone Call to Book Be?
« on: 22 June 2017, 03:49:07 pm »
Hello everyone, so I'm pretty much a newbie here and to escorting. I created an account on AW and decided to display my number. I have received quite a few calls so far today - which I did not answer because I was away and my phone was on a silent.

Anyway, when I was available I managed to take a call and I was very nervous! Reading from the advice on here, the guy seemed to be a timewaster... asking me in depth information about what I like to do etc and there was no certainty of a booking happening. He then followed by asking me for to send him pics as he wanted to get a good glimpse of me before we meet. I lied and said I was in a busy place so couldn't continue to talk after realising I had wasted 10 mins talking to this man. I immediately blocked him.

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think any call for any booking should be that long! If I'm booking a taxi it's done in less than 5 mins.

So what I'm asking is when I take calls, how do I make them get straight to the point. Do I just quickly introduce myself, and ask what they are looking for and what booking time/date?

If you have put all the info needed onto your AW account, the only thing they really need to ask is, when are you available, most of my bookings that I accept go like this, Hi Ive seen your profile on AW and was wondering if your free at bla bla oclock, Anything more than this then my TW radar switches on. The odd question is ok, but 10 minutes ? Block him

Hello Nat and welcome:)

Depending on how complete your profile is, a phone call can be very short or a tiny bit longer if a specific detail (for me it would be a role play for example) is involved. Bear in mind that a phone call for an Outcall will always be longer (different screening).

Your guts were right. Plus as you're a newbie you'll have dozens of time wasters jump on you.

I don't clock my phone calls but I don't think they last longer than 2-3 minutes. That's because I'll cut it short right at the beginning (and block) with whoever I feel does not match my screening criteria. So I only engage into conversation with men who sound ok at the beginning of the conversation.

I expect the conversation to be short, friendly and to the point.
I don't "introduce" myself. That's because I already did all that in details on my profile. I took my time to put my services, rates, age, height, size etc. And my screening is about making sure that the man I talk to knows who I am, what I look like, what I offer and how much I charge. I'm not interested in seeing someone who calls me and needs me to tell them that nope, I'm not brunette, I'm blonde.

Basically when I pick up I expect to hear a greeting and my name.
Most men tell me they got my number off xxx website. And ask how my day is going. I keep it short but very nice.
Next I expect them to ask me if I am available on such and such day, such and such time. I check this and ask them if there's anything they would like to doublecheck with me while we are on the phone.
This is when I like to hear that they checked my services, would just like to confirm such or such service (say DFK) or my rate.  Or could I wear red lingerie instead of black. Or they tell me which of my role plays they like.
All this being sorted out we agree on day and time. I then explain to them where I'm based and talk them through my confirmation procedure.
Thank you and hang up.

I follow this with a text, post code to my landmark and reminder by when I need them to confirm the booking.
Most guys will reply with a polite thank you.

A guy who suddenly starts texting every 5 minutes gets cancelled.
A guy who suddenly starts texting with questions or requests gets cancelled as well: he had every chance to ask his questions when we were on the phone.
A guy who suddenly wants more pictures or any crazy stuff just gets blocked.

All this takes a lot of practice. And the best way to practice is pick up your phone, even if you train on time wasters which is frustrating then at least you are clearly good at spotting them ! Xx

A call from a genuine punter should take no longer than 2 minutes if he's a timewaster its about 10 seconds and I will end it.
Don't answer questions such as 'What are you wearing'  'What are you into' or 'What are you going to do with me if I come over' in fact don't answer anything that feels uncomfortable, pervy or in anyway an in depth sexual question.
Calls should be friendly but with you keeping an air of business woman about yourself.
If a caller becomes twatty just put the phone down and list him as a timewaster.
You will most likely be inundated with idiots for the first few weeks.

Mine varies there have been no set way - why you ask because of diversity. We can rush them on the phone to hurry up but bringing business looks slim.

Like a few days ago a client was on his way I sent him the instructions.  Seconds later my phone rings. I say sorry I can't  talk on the phone long because a client is a minute away. So gave a briefing of the service and cost. He said he will phone back later. I said thank you talk soon.

Where as if I had of said I'm busy phone back later doubt he would be interested still. You might think fuck her.

I dont give a brief of my services because its all written on my adultwork, so the time spent giving a brief of services, could be time spent arranging the callers booking. I am a nightmare on the phone though, I think its my feedback that makes them think I can't be as bad as my phone manner  :P

Sure we all work different plus on two of the other sites I don't go through everything just the basics. Working like this hasn't  affected me profiting . Many like booking because of my phone manner.  I dont encourage back to back.

Yes they defiantly don't book me by my phone manner lol. If I offered full service I wouldnt do back to back, but because I do massage, I do, I find if I stop I start to feel tired, plus I love money too much to rest  ;D

I always wondered is it less stressful just offering massage?. I love money but it doesn't love me back. My guy friend is showing me the way.
