does anyone on here do short lets on their work flat
« on: 22 January 2018, 12:19:01 pm »
I'm thinking of doing this as I'm not there a lot so could offer it to someone else a couple of days a week at weekends.

The problem is, I am in Scotland.  I know it would have to be 'under the radar' as I only see a handful of clients myself right now and I don't want to obviously draw attention.  However, it is a lot for me to stump up each month when I am barely there.

Anyone actually done this and how did it go?

Thanks x

No I wouldn't
I like the flexibility of working when I want to / not want to and not having to work around others
Even though I have 2 beds so potentially I could still work there  I wouldn't rent it out at all

It's my safety net for when I want to work and earn money but not work to hard or tour

But lots of escorts do rent out there flats or a spare room and it generally goes one way or another either really good or a complete nightmare

But if you are going to put conditions on it as you don't want it overused / to many clients no working late I don't think it will work

But mine cost me bills only I might feel different if I was paying a huge rent and rarely using it

Thanks Paris.

I know, I used to have a non-related 'rental' business (very short term!) and I know there are plenty that don't care about things if they aren't their's, but I guess decent vetting.....

Or this will be another thing I try and go "never again!"

If it's a flat or apartment in a large building in the middle of a city centre, it may well work.

If it's a house/cottage in a quiet, residential area, a punter could potentially knock someone else's door e.g. the next door neighbour, asking for (add "someone's working name". This actually happened.

i'm sure lots of girls do. I would never ever do it. I suppose my situation is different, I live in my place so everything I own is here.
I suppose you need to trust the person etc.

I would be thinking of questions like the following

Is it your home or a seperate working flat that you use purely for work

Would they be using your personal room

Would you let them smoke ( I've know of escorts that smoke and are constantly outside the apartment / house smoking

How would you arrange collection of keys ( safe box located near by ) or be there yourself to handover

Would you be comfortable with other escorts knowing your real name and stuff

One lady posted on safe about a year or so that she  was renting rooms out in her own home and she fell out with one of the ladies who then sent  flyers to her neighbours and reported her to the council

My flat  mis totally seperate from where I live but I still wouldn't rent it out

But if it was just something I rented to work from the I probably would do it

Be careful. Any nice WG can suddenly change you and really surprise you in a way that?s not nice. Been there.

If it?s also your home do not do it.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

The only time I did was when I was there too, can you risk your work base being messed up is the question. A needle in a haystack. I thought some clients can be trusted not in this game.

Usually until stinged then pull back. Be carful, god forbid anything bad happens. As you will be responsible in the eyes of the landlord. Any costs due to missing or damaged property and any complaints due to back to backs.

Most touring cram clients in than ones who are based in one place due to worry.

Now I couldn't share, like my own space to much plus like to focus between clients on my goals.

It's purely my work flat, i live elsewhere.

Yeah, perhaps I will continue pondering and do new photos tomorrow.  Mine are crap!

Gotta get the money in x

This is a very difficult one. I ended up sharing my work flat with a girl and it worked out very well, thankfully. We both worked quite similarly and are very discreet and we're respectful of each others' things. We ended up becoming really friendly.

I've heard of nightmare stories though and if I were given the opportunity to share with someone I don't know now, I wouldn't, because I think I just got lucky by meeting my ex flat sharer.

Letting flat short term to other WGs: very dangerous and probably wouldn't risk it (that's just me).

Letting short term to non WGs (like air BnB): probably not, but a better option than previous one.

Long term flatshare: still not legal but if you find a girl you like personally and feel comfortable with her working practices, this would be the most favourable option.

Hope you find a solution. I am actually looking for a flat now too; coincidental if we are in the same Scottish city ;)

I've rented out my apartments, and rented apartments of other WGs and found it overall a good experience.

When I rented out my apartment by the hour, I would meet them with keys, make sure everything was clean and work ready, then security call them after the hour was up to check they where OK and I could come back. It was a studio in a city centre apartment block which made me feel safer about the whole thing as the flat would be harder to find again or get into if they saw any bad clients (in my mind anyway). The girls I decided to rent to where lovely, I checked their AW feedback beforehand to make sure they where genuine and never looked back. It was great for day's I couldn't work, I could just sit in the cafe downstairs with my phones while they covered the bills so to speak. It was nice to spend time with other WG's too.

The first time I rented out my apartment I was veryyyy young, naive and stupid. I had a 2 bed apartment and rented the second bedroom to a new agency. They used it to photograph all their girls, take bookings then never paid me at the end of the month so that was negative. The girls where all lovely though it was only the man running the agency that made it end up being a bad experience. This was also my fault for offering the apartment on a monthly rent paid after  :FF

When I've rented apartments off WG's I've always been super considerate, cleaning, getting rid of "sex smells" before I left, keeping quite, following their vetting procedures as well as my own, just being respectful of them and their space. I would say don't write off trying to rent your work apartment as there are some nice people out here ;)

Thanks ladies.

I've actually had someone do me some new photos which has picked things up.  I think I should carry on 'under the radar' and work on my own image/profile properly.  That's the long term answer, I don't need the anxiety! lols x

I've been renting my flats out to other escorts for the last 8 years. I rent hourly, sometimes per 8 hours or overnight and sometimes for days, weeks or months at a time when I'm away on tour. Apart from a few bad experiences it's mostly been a great source of income, nice to meet lots of fellow escorts and great networking for duo partners. It's not for everyone. I've met a few different escorts who've started out offering hourly rentals and then stopped for different reasons and heard all sorts of stories from escorts renting my place about the disasters they've encountered renting elsewhere. If you do decide to give it a try, a few things to look out for = Never rent to agencies or deal with middle men of any kind eg pimps, assistants, drivers, husbands, boyfriends etc. Use a calendar app. I use google calendar. Don't leave any valuables lying around no matter how much you trust the escort renting from you. Her client could easily rob you. Don't leave anything lying around that you're not comfortable with it coming into contact with other people's body fluids eg never leave your toothbrush, mouthwash etc out. Get a mattress protector. I bought an expensive waterproof one from a fetish shop. Wasn't cheap but worth every penny. Leave at least 30 minutes between one booking and the next to allow for one possibly going overtime eg if her client decides to take a 30 minute shower and to allow for the next person to arrive early to get ready. Never rent to anyone new who has no web presence. Google their mobile number and if their own website, loads of ads, social media, reviews etc come up in search results, then they're a lot more trustworthy than someone completely anonymous. good luck and PM me anytime.

Thanks AussieMaleEscort, for all those great tips.   ;D

Loved the bit about checking their internet presence, sounds obvious but I wouldn't have thought of it to be honest, so I shall keep those tips for if and when (probably my next flat) I decide to do it.

I'm not going to do it at the moment, I shall concentrate on building up my clients, things are definitely getting better!
