How much do you keep your phone switched on?
« on: 15 February 2018, 07:51:01 pm »
I've had a few guys asking for my number outside of my escorting hours, I have a child and another job can't be texting and receiving calls outside of my escorting hours as how dodgy would that be? . A prospective client reported me to AW and another one sent me a shitty email saying he's a paying customer and I had a bad attitude because I said I wouldn't give my phone number or  answer phone calls and texts outside of my hours I'm available to work.
I'm not willing to back down and answer calls because I can't do some clients assume we have no life outside of escorting ?

You mean no calls on off days or no calls at all.

He's obviously an entitled prick with a bad attitude. It's your business, so you pick and choose your hours, including hours you'll answer answer enquiries.
A lot of men forget, they may be able to pay our rate but that doesn't mean we'll accept them as clients.
I bet they wouldn't be happy answering the phone and dealing with work questions when they go home on an evening or on their days off.
Clients that don't respect you have a life outside of your job or not clients you want to see anyway x

I have my phone on as much as I can, which suits me but might not suit you.

There are things I do during which I have to turn my phone off, so I set my voicemail to advise a time to call back.

I'm aware I might regret this, but I give up. What is a 'bubba' ???

To answer the question, my phone is switched on permanently, but my call blocker with autoresponder text is on before I start taking calls and goes back on as soon as I've finished for the day. When I get home it goes on silent and gets chucked in a bowl until morning; the reason I don't switch it right off is because it only logs missed calls when its on, and if somebody has rung me nineteen times at 3am I want to know about it so I can block the number :).

South eastern england lower middle class slang for "baby", although it's applied to all biological children up to thr point they leave home.

Mine is switched on when my super-strong, super-sized Coffee switches ME on ( about 9.30/10am ) and is switched off at 10pm prompt every night, though I just take next-day bookings after 8.30pm or so.. My phone sends me texts of all missed calls throughout the night and I usually just delete them. Multiple offenders ( more than 1 attempt at silly o'clock ) are blocked for being idiots  ::)

mine is on 24/7 but mostly on vibrate and strictly switched to silent when not working/asleep/with friends/family etc. Got to admit took me a while to actually get into the habit of answering the phone. Actually hate speaking to people on the phone, especially ones I have never met. Find it better to text first (always insist on speaking on phone quickly before any new meet though) but just think its so easy to pre arrange details via text as so many are not suited.

Thanks I don't think I'm being unreasonable then, I'm not a full time escort I feel awkward when a client texts when I'm next to my child just find it easier switching it off and forget about it until the next day.

I put mine on within a few minutes of getting up, and switch it off around midnight (I don't normally go to bed until 2-3am). Funnily enough I forgot last night and got a call at 1.30am from someone who wanted a booking there and then!

That's what you need to do.

If you mean client numbers I'm part-time but find I can answer calls for longer than when 'full-time'.

There'll always be someone who claims I'm difficult to contact, often they've phoned whilst I'm in a booking, or last minute on a Sunday night. For me the day doesn't particularly matter but not being able to contact me at one particular time, on one particular day when I've had loads of free time around it, is hardly 'difficult to contact'.
