Slow at the minute or just me?

I have been in this industry for 11 years on & off and over the past few years I have noticed that from the end of September until abt 2 wks before Xmas it goes quiet; It will pick up rpund abt 14th Dec right through until the end of January and then it will die down until abt Mid March to April xx

I am the same, a quiet day and a good day tend to follow suit, it always seems to work out the same at the end of the week

A client I have known a long time asked me recently what an average week for me was and although I do not divulge facts and figures to anyone I told him I work a lot less now through choice. I don't need a high volume of clients to make my bills and add to savings etc.
He suggested I only work 2 or 3 days at the beginning of the week and make my money on those days, then take the rest of the week off from escorting.
I had to explain to him that it does not work like that although it would be good if it did! We can not command that all clients see us to suit our diaries and calendars, how great it would be if I could make my weekly target by Wednesday then switch my phone off!
My weeks these days tend to be a strange mix, dead for a day or even two then a few men in a day. Happy to say I am not plagued by time wasters and those who do not show. I have checked back in my records and can honestly not see a pattern of dead months or seasons etc, nothing really notable anyway.

The thing is when clients start acting like Martin Lewis (but without even his knowledge!) they never take into account that self employment can be very up and down and that there are times when we can be unavailable through no fault of our own, such as other responsibilities/commitments, illness of our own or other people's, deaths, god forbid we might need an operation or even to go on holiday. The bills are still there 365 days a year. Its not the earnings of one day or week its over the whole year.
Would be great to just have the phone on 2 days a week haha

Well I've only been an Indy for a few months & it was in sauna's that I noticed the seasonal thing; and school holidays can be very quiet x
