I had planned to book a hotel a couple of days this week but emails are quite on AW so i might leave it i was also going to put a couple of classifieds out but not sure if this week will be a bit quiet.

Oh that would destroy me. Seven?! I rarely get them at all but am so low volume as far as number of bookings a week/month I don't worry about the odd idiot who doesn't turn up or confirm. 

My days lately have been very odd.  Dead one day then fine the next, dead for two days then ok for one then dead again then busy for two days, up and down all the time.  I do beleive that some men are being more careful these days with their cash as not even getting anything like the number of enquiries I used to and it isn't the low volume thing as I do not state it obviously on my profiles.

Glad I am not starting out and full time wanting ten bookings a day!!!

I'm not full time either and low volume but today was just a joke. First time it's happend. Did x31hr and each time one didn't turn up I thought maybe the next would. I'm ready for home x

Am thinking of knocking a tenner off my 1 hour to make it a flat ?100.

May boost business too.

I do get business tick over but always nice to feel more swamped!

May get some  raised eyebrows here but I have never reduced my rates or offered discounts as to my way of thinking it could look like I am desperate or something.  My rates are average for my area anyway.

If I really was desperate I would probably lower the rates but somehow I doubt it would make a huge difference to bookings, knocking a tenner off.

Instead of doing a discount on an hour, why not do a disount on hour and half bookings, that way you will get more out of clients rather than less

My prices are good anyway but may attract some people who knows.

On the contrary, Winter time seems to be a busier time of year. I would just stay the same. If you find yourself getting an influx of calls id even considering upping your rate to slow it down a bit! I have had to do this from time to time. Right now I?m thinking of having happy hour as it?s pretty dead

Yes had over ten enquiries by lunchtime today.  All good.  We should be heating up for the Xmas season all the randy buggers come out!

I did a "Black Friday special" last year which was very busy. Took ?10 off my half hour and ?20 off my hour rate. I also reduced my webcam prices. I did an absolute blinder.

Same here Justine.. . I'm a little higher than most in my area hence why low volume. I've never lowered my rates for the same reason.
