I work from home and it's fine, although I avoid working too late at night. I would recommend living in a house, rather than an apartment, because apartments can be very close together and concierges can pose a problem  :-\ I have been working from home for four years now, and it's very convenient.
I second that. I never work late at night.

I work from home and always have.  I rent but gave references from my real job to get the lease if not it would have had to be worked round.  I have put all my personal things in storeage and rent a small detached house.  It works well, I have decorated the room I use to create the right environment and very rarely do my visitors get into my living space but sometimes if I am doing a 3 hour lunch date this is ok.  Take time in choosing something that is right for you and look at all the positives and negatives before you sign anything.  Apart from that I would not have it any other way.  I use www.rightmove.co.uk to browse what is available then take it from there. Tthe good thing about right move is that they have a location map so you can see where the potential property is which i find really helpful.

I've never had any problems working from home.  When I answer the door I always put my finger to my lips and insist on complete silence (I live amongst other flats).  If they're noisy I tell them my neighbours work from home, if they're really noisy I get quite annoyed with them.  Most of my clients are completely cool with discretion.

I have a room for which I always keep the door shut and use as my living area.  I've had clients insist that they want to sit on a sofa but I don't budge.  I need an area that is just mine in my flat.  The majority respect that.

I don't do incalls after 11, earlier if I'm not fussed about money.  The later the booking the more likely it is the guy will behave badly, even if you've seen him before.

I'm exactly the same. I won't do incalls past 11pm, mainly because I don't want to draw attention to myself, but also because late-night clients are very different to the daytime ones. They are more likely to turn up drunk, or under the influence of drugs, or just be a nuisance in general  :-\ I usually take clients straight upstairs - I live in a house - and I have a spare bedroom which I use to work from. I am reluctant to ever let them into my other  rooms, mainly because those are my personal spaces, and I've never had any problems thus far.

I too work from home and always has.I work normally during the day as almost all my neighbours go out to work and rarely evenings whens its dark for anyone to see the streets  ;D.I chose a house rather than flat/apartment for more privacy and noise but its a personal choice.I don't however let them into any rooms apart from the kitchen where my dinning is where I offer them a drink and chat before being whisked upstairs to the bedroom.Like Cora,I normally have the telly on loud enough and lock the lounge door for assumptions that someone  else might be in and never had anyone raise an eyebrow on this and handy when my hubby is home watching crap lol .For them to get to me I always give them a postcode next to me which when they ring and mention the name of Road,I direct them to mine and where to park for discretion etc ,But within my eyes to see the registration in-case things turn nasty.

God no Dexi I don't recommend working from your actual home where you live as once guys find out its where you live and they will they will think its ok to just turn up randomly coz you live there  :o

Another reason is your neighbours and safety reasons as I just posted on another thread.

Could you not share an apartment with another wg or hire one by the hour if its just a few bookings a week you plan to do?  ;)

I absolutely don't work late. I don't want people tunring up late on my doorstep. I also don't work after 7pm on fri and sat nights as I don't want drunks at my house.  So I web cam from 8pm till late.

I mostly take afternoon appointments and earlier eves. I do have a hard time explaining to people that they need to give me at least 2 hours notice. they seem baffled by this and I have to bite my tongue from "what. you think I get up at 8am, get dressed in my domme gear, set up my equipment and sit there waiting for people to randomly show up? I'm not a brothel sweetheart."

not much irritates me in terms of stupid questions, I'm pretty laid back. but that one does make me flinch and snarl.

I also work from home and have never had problems with it. However, my flat is very clean and there's no personal belongings anywhere in my bedroom or bathroom, so it can also look like I just rent the place for work. I don't generally answer questions like "is this your flat" or "do you live alone" for obvious reasons... Also I don't let the guests into the living room/kitchen and I keep all doors closed. I live in a big building and there's no neighbour directly opposite me, also I assume most people work during the day and I don't normally meet anyone after 8pm.

Hey, i work from home for really the below obvious reasons:
1) I really am perhaps not an established escort to always book and pay for an hotel asap to make it convenient for the client!
2) I work part time so i cant be always available for the client to just call and I'm 'dressed and awaiting for his call'!!
3) it is convenient as i can get home quickly and advise I'm available one hour later, just so i can do the last min tidy up and wash etc etc..
4) Like other comments, yes i do feel that I'm in control as its my territory not theres, so i know the procedure rather than they do!! greet in..welcome ..upstairs and out!!Lol
5) More to the point all what i believe I'm worth, the Cha-ching is all mine!! say no more!!

cant get better than the realness than that i guess!!lol

I have been working from my home for over a year and have never and I mean never had someone just 'turn up' if they did I would probably call the police straight away. Did you not read all the other posts on this thread about how we keep ourselves safe at home and how we deal with neighbours ect? I understand where you are coming from but obviously you feel that way because you have not experienced working from home?

I have also NEVER had anyone just turn up at my place, the only occurance that even comes close to that is when the 'cash for gold' guy knocked on my door last week to see if I had read the leaflet he dropped by the previous week and before leaving he asked if I was going to be about later on  ::) It did throw me off guard but he was knocking on everyones door, not just mine - so no issue.
..Some would say I am selling my body but I know I am selling so much more than that..

No, me neither - my door isn't accessible anyway, but the nearest I've had was a prat who rang me from the phone box round the corner when he didn't have an appointment (I recognised his voice when I answered it as a harmless-but-a-bit-thick type I'd seen a couple of times, and hung up immediately). I switch off my doorbell at night and I never answer the door at all unless I'm expecting somebody bar postman-time, and I normally see the postman coming anyway.

That said, it only takes one nutter to cause problems. I'm very fussy about who I see when I'm at home and don't take many new clients there, but nothing's foolproof and it never hurts to have a contingency plan just in case something does go wrong. Mine is basically telling people to mind their own business and report anybody who doesn't to the police, but then I own my home and moving isn't really a practical solution.

I would never, ever work from somewhere with a concierge, whether I owned it or not.

I work from home have done for a couple of years.
Once, a good few years ago, I tried working for one of 'Liverpool's finest' agency's. (finest my arse!)  They have their own in-call place. It put me off escort work for a long time!
Not tried hotels as I don't see enough clients really to justify the effort/cost etc. Would like to do a short tour, maybe in the summer, but wouldn't have the bottle to go on my own :(
I hate to say never, don't wish to tempt fate an' all, but I haven't had clients turning up, late, early, or any time, unless pre-booked. I've had the odd late text from clients, asking if I'm available, but as I turn my phone off when I'm finished for the night, those texts don't bother me at all.
I feel safer at home, especially if a client is new.

I used to rent an incall apartment just for work but also I'd spend lots of time there when my own house was getting decorated or I was ill or something and trying to get peace and quiet from the family.

I rented it for 2 years and I lost count of the amount of clients who turned up unannounced  :o I always blacklisted them after that. Some even buzzed the neighbours to try and get in the block if I didn't answer and also someone once climbed the front fence and started banging on my front window!!!! (ground floor) I was EXTREMELY IRATE at that and swore and shouted at him out the window.  And that's only the ones I know about  :o. There could have been more I didn't know about!

So yes, it does happen. Maybe slightly better if you rent a top flat, but it does happen.

Saying that, most aren't dangerous or anything, just annoying and clueless like Amy said, but I certainly wouldn't want that happening if friends or family were around.

Yep I've had the buzzing neighbours to let them in, this was mostly after the rear doorbell  broke and the company who were supposed to fix it couldn't co-ordinate themselves to let me know when they needed access.

Anyway I'd explain to clients they'd need to use the door at the front of the block , but they'd forget then press every other buzzer asking to be let into flat x to see Rosa. Another couple of times they were too busy following directions to hear me explain about parking. Once or twice guys ran into bollards because they wouldn't take 2 seconds to listen to me warning them. Couple that with running up the stairs shouting hello before they'd gotten into my flat. Shouting goodbye up the communal stair well. Wasn't long before I was moving!
