About Scamblog
The purpose of Scamblog is to alert as many people as possible to a popular type of scam aimed at people who want to be escorts, before they become victims. Our main concern is the registration fee scam detailed in this article at SAAFE and this one at SW5. Many people pursue escort work when they see it as the only way out of their financial difficulties, and we particularly want to protect them from giving up their money to unscrupulous people who say they can help them.
Escort discussion and advice sites, especially SAAFE and SW5, have warned about them for a while, but as there are many frequently changing names for the fake agencies a lot of people never see the advice, or only find it after they pay. SAAFE has agreed to host this blog so that we can attach warnings to the names of all the scams we find, which should then show up in searches when people considering the fake agencies decide to do a little research. We don’t offer advice, for that please go to SAAFE, SW5, or other escort forums.
The people we call scam artists will say that we’re lying. You don’t know any of us so you’ve no reason to believe what any of us say, but please read this article and do some further research. We believe that there’s enough information out there to back up our side of the story.
